I love these OPEN COURT PROGRAMS on NBATV. This latest one discussed the next 10 after the 50 greatest from the 1997 All Star game. Personally, I think Shaquille shouldn't have been on that list after only four years and he stated as much. Dominique Wilkens should have had that spot.

The next ten, according to the panel, were:

Duncan
Bryant
James
Iverson
Garnett
Nowitzki
Wilkens
McAdoo
Wade
Durant

I think Reggie Miller should be in that next ten but he didn't want to vote for himself. Webber was in but was pushed to 61. I'd say Miller in and probably Durant out.

I watched it. Most of those guys know the other players well so I don't think they really discussed it that well. They really put 8 guys in right away and then just debated the last spot or 2. To me the only definite next 10 guys that should be in with no debate are Kobe, Duncan, Lebron, KG. everyone else should be compared with other players. I admittedly am not an Iverson fan but I think he was put in way too easily. I think Kidd, Payton, Nash can all have cases made over AI and others on the list.

IMO Allen Iverson & D. Wade should not be on that list. Gary Payton was much better than both of those guys!!!

Have no problem with Iverson and Dirk. Both have the stats, led their squads and had serious impact on the game. Miller should be in that next ten

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I think Miller is closer to being a fringe HOFer than one of the 60 best players in NBA history.

Absolutely. These are the best PG's since Magic left the game.

Shaq's reaction to Howard being mentioned by Kenny was hilarious.

I'm ok with AI, but I don't agree with Wade, and it's too early to put Durant up there.

I'm with you.

If I had a choice between prime Rodman and prime Miller, I'd take Rodman in a heartbeat.

I'm with you on this. I think Reggie gets far too much respect for being a very one-dimensional player.

Completely agree. Were it not for the NBA on NBC and those replayed Knicks/Pacers highlights he wouldn't even sniff the HoF. There's a lot of players with similar #'s to Reggie that don't have that halo effect. In fact, there's a boatload of 90s players that are severely overrated.

Reggie isn't even in the same stratosphere as KD.
