LAKERSGROUND MAINTENANCE

Our current server will be moved to a new location. To prevent downtime during this move, we decided to put up the site on a temporary server while the other one gets physically moved. We thought we'd give it some run on this new server to see how it compares to our current server.

So what does this mean?

When we make the transition, there will be a period when the domain must propagate on the internet. During this time, there may be some inconsistencies in service. You may post something on the old server and end up viewing the new server and your post missing. This shouldn't last long. Some of you may not even notice.

This is the slowest time of the year on the site, so the easiest time for us to schedule this move. We are going to let the site run a little on the new server and see how it performs. It could be worse, it could be better. We won't know until the traffic levels hit it and increase. So we ask for your patience during this time.

If the new server blows, remember it's only temporary.

Had a couple of hitches, but we should be good now. You may still experience some intermittent issues as the propagation continues from yesterday, but you should be able to access the site fairly consistently now.

I was wondering what was going on. I can't access the board from my iPhone. It says "Sorry, but this board is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

I thought 24 went trigger happy with the suspensions again.

Q: Who should we suspend?

A: EVERYBODY!

If it makes it any better, I was suspended for almost 12 hours.

SSSSHHHHHHHH. Being thought of as trigger happy means not having to be trigger happy.

On Sunday night I was like, "I knew it. I knew it. Those guys always had it in for me all along. Suck me in with their false kindnesses and then ... bam ... right in the back!"

On Monday morning, "Oh ..."

I'm really enjoying this forum a lot

Everyone is so pleasant and civil

When I couldn't get in yesterday, I thought I did something wrong -- glad it was just the server being relocated

=)

Thank you for maintaining a really nice forum!

Overall, the response so far is much better! Except for 5 seconds, I thought I was banned by 24 or linda...

I was having trouble getting in during tonight's game. And from the looks of it, others were having the same problem.

It encountered some hiccups during the pre-season game, it was also around the time the Dodgers scored so it buckled under the flurry of post attempts. Got the usual Cannot Connect to SQL Server Database message.
