That was (bleep) up what Kobe said. No player should say that to his team mates.

Supposedly, he used to make Smush get dressed in the closet

I remember young Kobe was kinda of a jerk and a prick that would isolate himself from his teammates, he in some ways was a loner.

If I remember correctly, Smush was an arrogant lazy player who thought he was better than he was. Kobe doesn't respect players like that, nor should anyone else.

Nobody would ever accuse young Kobe of being a nice guy, but I just can't bring myself to feel even an ounce of sympathy for Smush.

Ain't Smush the guy that told Phil he wasn't feeling the triangle and wanted to run another offense when he came to the team?

You understand why Kobe would feel some kinda way about a player like that who walks into the locker room off streetball and addresses Phil like that right?

exactly. We don't know the other side of it because Smush will never admit it. Kobe's past it so, he probably won't bring it up either. It's possible that Smush had an attitude problem from the get go which rubbed Kobe the wrong way.

At least Kobe did not punched him on the nose like what MJ did to Kerr. Or he was not ripped like what MJ did to his team mates. Smush Parker got off easy in comparison.

This reminds of how my niece reacted to what I told her recently. She never listens to me and acts badly around me, but always wants me to take her places. I told that I wouldn't take her anywhere because she doesn't listen to me, and that I would be willing to take my other niece out because she listens. Her reaction? Continue to not listen to me and act like a brat, and then complain that I never take her anywhere.

Smush Parker's reaction should have been to get his lazy ass in the gym to become a better player and get those accolades. Instead he continued on being the lazy, terrible, no skill player that he was, and then whined and pouted when he wasn't making friends. You want to be buddy buddy with the best basketball player in the world while screwing him and the team out of wins because you refuse to put in work? Yeah, right. Don't know what he was expecting from Kobe. He knew how to get Kobe's respect and he didn't do it. Just like my niece knows how to get me to take her places and she doesn't do it. Smush Parker is a child.

Smush is trying real hard to be relevant 10 years later.

He really needs to stop already, he sounds like a jilted lover at this point.
