Interesting. He tweaked his back carrying a bag on Wednesday, so why not throw him in the lineup on Thursday?

Why is Nash carrying his own bag when we have rookies? Pride?

I just wish the guy would retire right now, so we could be done with this travesty.

Maybe Nash needs to stop skateboarding. All that balancing can't be good on his spine.

is it possible to be an assistant playing coach? maybe that's the role more suited to him this year. more on the asst coach aspect, plus some spot duty. am sure he can contribute playing 5-10 mins a game against second stringers.

There isn't anything the Lakers can do but to pay Nash his contract.

I'm talking about before they got themselves into this mess.

Selective memory is more contagious than ebola. I seem to recall an uprising of support for the guy when he hit free agency and just about everyone giddy as schoolgirls when we signed him. A classic case of "be careful what you wish for."

I thought it was a good move when it was made. When his back became a problem I got on the Apply For A Medical Retirement bus.

I think Jodeke is talking about last season when the FO could have tried to force a medical retirement on Nash. I thought then, and still do, that if Nash wasn't interested it would be a horrible PR move for the team.

You're on point VLF. However I thought then as I do now. Sometimes you have to make decision that are unpopular but are the best business moves.

IMO they made two poor business decisions, 1) giving Kobe a extension before his Achilles had healed. 2) Gave too many picks for Nash. Both these moves restricted roster improvement.
