Rumor has it that the Celtics will release point guard Will Bynum after just acquiring him in a trade for Joel Anthony.

Bynum put up around 8 ppg last season. He's got more talent than Ronnie Price, although Price seems to focus more on defense.

Would it be worth it for the Lakers to bring in Bynum while cutting someone else?

No thank you. Is he even an upgrade on price. I just want someone who is respectable at the 3. Wes is a joke

His best stats are against the Lakers. He's not a guy that is going to make much of a difference however.

I think he's better than Ronnie Price. With Steve having a little bit of trouble with injuries, should the Lakers go after him again since they were interested in signing him last summer when he was a free agent?

Byron might not want to bring in a new guy at this point. Who knows? It's clear that he has more ability than Ronnie Price, though.

Will Bynum is a great insurance to have for the G position... no one knows when Young is gonna return and we all know our PG situation isn't really bright besides Lin/Clarkson..... so yes we should bring him in... he always produces when he gets minutes.

We have 2 open roster spots. One is almost guaranteed to go to ronnie price... the other was supposed to go to Ellington, but Will Bynum is way better than him.

For our 15th roster spot its a no brainer.

If Lakers show interest in Bynum... you know some other team who hates the Lakers are gonna snatch him up... (cough Clippers cough).

We're going to have tryouts. I can see Byron doing this.

Can't be worse than Price and Nash.

Yes. We desperately need guards that can dribble penetrate. He drove to the hoop 6.4 times per game last year in just 18.9 mpg. That's a Top 5-10 mark in the league, on a per minute basis, and a skill set that we badly need.

Lin & Randle are the only two guys that can get to the basket on a regular basis.

I can't understand why people wouldn't want him. It would be a no brainer for me, given the shaky health of our guards.
