Randle was great

Looked confident, wasnt rushing, made a few back to back jumpers which opened up to attacking off the dribble. He had a nice co-block with davis and a beautiful rebound and coast to coast for the dish play.

He definitely showed the potential

Kobe made the team threes. Started off poorly, kinda forcing, but settled in and did his thing. He looked good physically except on defense. He still ball watches and disregards his player. Get burned plenty

Kobe was awesome for most of the night (26 pts 5 asts.)

Julius was awesome in the second half (as was every Laker player)

JR 30 finished w/ 8 pt (all in second half) 5 rebounds.

*Honorable mention to Davis, Price and Boozer.

Down 22 at one point but rallied to win

Jazz sat Hayward and Favors, but it was still a major turnaround in the second half. Finally we saw some of that supposed defense they've been working on when Ed Davis got in the game. Much more encouraging game than the stinkers we've had the last three. Ronnie Price was astounding. Kobe still looked limited and didn't shoot all that well but was still huge. Randle continues to show flashes of what he will eventually be. We should look much better when we get some of our hurt players get back.

i'm really hoping nash is saving himself for the season because he really doesn't have anything to prove by playing preseason games. the carrying bags story seems off...

I'm ready to forget that Nash even exists and give Price the reigns for that second team off the bench. He's awesome on defense need a spark like that.

Just returned from the game with my son and it was enjoyable to see them comeback... Kobe looked like hes coming along, randle, price and davis looked good as well... That starting front court of boozer and hill dont box out enough imo...

Sidenote... My kid got a short video on the jumbotron during a timeout... Much love to the laker fan/staples camerman angel who saw my fb post, found us in the crowd and made it happen...

Missed the 4th quarter

Really happy that we didn't just lay down again after being down 20 in the 1st half. That was a pretty drastic 180 turnaround from the 1st half. This game was one step forward in the right direction.

Only saw the last quarter. They played with a LOT more energy than I've seen since the first pre-season game. No wind sprints before this one perhaps?

Ed Davis is so fast underneath the basket. I wonder if he can handle being a 30 minute per game big man.

Randle played well. Boozer had 19/9 with 6 steals. Boozer when he mixes up the offense between mid range and post game is as solid as they come.

Couldn't watch the game yesterday. I saw we played some great D on the second half, but how about our execution on offense? Did we struggle to get buckets?

In the first quarter we did. In the 2nd quarter we played solid defense and started hitting a groove offensively near the end after a hilariously slow one.

By the 3rd we had hit our groove offensively and defensively and it just sort of ballooned from there.

Byron told them at half time they aren't even gonna talk about offense they're just gonna focus on defense and let the defense dictate the offense that plus things finally started clicking. Boozer started using his post moves, Price started driving to the basket and pick and rolling, Hill started hitting his mid-range, Kobe kept the defense out of the paint by showing he 'could' stretch the floor if need be.

We also did turn things up on the interior defensive end.

In the first half the Jazz had 32 points in the paint in the second half the Jazz had 37 points total.

It's still pre-season

But it was a nice microcosm of things and above all else there was actual defensive schemes and effort given by the guys and that's gonna be most important above all else regardless of who it is that is on the court. You should watch the highlights

Our shooting percentage was around 23% going into halftime, it finished at 41% I think so, much better 2nd half.

Idk who did the talking during halftime but they sure lit a fire under everyone's ass.

The energy was night and day and you could tell they were actually moving with a purpose. First couple of pre-season games they were running as if it was practice or thinking way too much it clouded the game flow.

Maybe all the injury has they being tentative, but glad to see what the team can do when they get after it.
