If there's anyone who hasn't checked out Jeremy Lin's youtube channel. I recommend you do so.
Many good videos, some funny some serious.
There's one called Lost for Words that almost made me cry.
And another one called Jose, about a kid who gets off drugs and into basketball.
Only a few are Lakers related, so far.
But I'm sure more will be coming.
And there's one from his Houston days called "You've changed, bro" that has a cameo by Steve Nash (as his workout partner).
The guy seems like a class act.
Much the way Gasol and Artest were, and Kobe continues to be.
JIFISH Thanks for pointing out the Jose video. For some reasons, it is not listed in Jlin's channel. But it is there, if you search for it. It is a very touching video. Here it is ... _________________ "We have a lot of guys that have been kinda discarded ... Myself with the injury and the age. Unfortunately, I don't speak Mandarin, so I can't really tell. But, thankfully, that youtube clip has a toggle option for close captioning. And the close captioning is in English

i remember during linsanity, he was struggling with his mandarin in early interviews. he must have been practicing on the side, his vocabulary and enunciation is much better now. i mean, it makes business sense to speak chinese a bit better since taiwan is basically his market.

I think his Mandarin has been improving for the past year or so. I don't quite remember, either he used it more or have a private tutor _________________ "We have a lot of guys that have been kinda discarded ... Myself with the injury and the age. Tweet from Lin to Roscoe and other NBA players as the preseason ends and the roster trim downs happen. From the guy who knows what it's like to be cut multiple times.

Thanks for the link. It was an interesting and funny read, expecially Kobe the trash talker part _________________ "We have a lot of guys that have been kinda discarded ... Not sure if this has been posted yet. But Jeremy Lin has a blog entry for Thanksgiving. Some behind the scenes tidbit like Carlos Boozer organizing and treating the team to a special sushi event in Atlanta.
New video - TAG Heuer | Jeremy Lin challenged by Maria Sharapova, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jean-Claude Biver. Very good!
I'm watching in an area where I can't turn my volume up. Did Lin refer to himself as JL7?
You are right! It's JL7. Maybe back to the number for next year. _________________ "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." --Sarah Cook.
JLin talked about his struggle starting at about 5 minutes mark. He gave his long speeches in English initially with intermittent Mandarin from the narrator. After about half way through, he started using Mandarin to answer questions. The video was made not too long after he was traded to LAL. _________________ "We have a lot of guys that have been kinda discarded ... Myself with the injury and the age. Just the Linsanity video given away to everyone at last nights game.
Saw it when I got home. I have a much bigger respect for J Lin now. He has been an underdog throughout his childhood too. Great story on motivation and persistence, discrimination, and just insight into what makes him tick. Real down to earth guy. I'm not Asian either but made me wanna root for him even more now. Props!

Add family and faith.
Glad you got a chance to watch it. I think every parent should watch this movie with their kids.
