Dwight reminds me of Kwame Brown in the post. Fumbling the ball, getting stripped, no post moves, undersized. He's really a power forward playing center. He can't do jack with his back to the basket.

He has finished in the top 5 in voting 4 different times. I can't see him actually winning but if he's healthy, he could certainly be in the mix.

He has finished top five 4 times, including one 2nd place finish. If he is close to his Orlando athleticism, as rumors say, then it's possible. This summer was mainly spent on rehabbing his body.

What Hakeem Actually Said wrote:
“It is about attitude. He should have a season that makes everyone vote for him as MVP. If that happens, they should be contenders for the championship. I believe that. Now they have to believe it.”

Your thread title isn't even what the man said. Dude, come on...

Except that he has zero face-up game and no jumper.

It's really remarkable that the guy has averaged as many points as he has. His only offensive moves are the dunk and the babyhook.

Durant won't win it, Lebron may mail the entire regular season in.

Probably the most open its been for years, unless Lebron.

A guy from a 7-8 seed won't win the MVP award. We've experienced that first hand.

Imagine if Dwight had to pay income tax and child support in California.

Going to Texas wasn't as much of a basketball decision. This guy is burning through his money at a fast rate.

Didn't he buy a 19 million house in Newport? He has to pay $237,000 a year on property tax. What a waste of money.

He never bought that house. He rented one while he was playing for the Lakers

Do these HOF big guys have ever been credited with teaching any of these young centers anything? I see Hakeem, Ewing, and Kareem teaching some young centers but no one really ever listens to them or develop any moves similar to the HOFs.

tbh, the post gets too crowded with the current defensive rules for their games to really transfer to people with center handles.

When's Howard's contract with the Rockets up?

He should win MVP now that he's an 18/12 guy and not the 22/15/3blocks guy he used to be? Dwight will fade out in a few years and him not re-upping with the lakers will be a blessing in disguise. Kobe was right.

the sad thing is....he would have had a better career if he resigned with the lakers.... looking for Portland to knock out Lurch's team again

they might be a worse team w/o Parsons. Probably get knocked out in the 1st round again.
