It should be obvious we are keeping Price. Now it comes down to one of Wayne Ellington or Roscoe Smith.

I wish we didn't have Nash and Boozer clogging up the roster.

Wait... what?

Boozer is 10x the player that Ellington and Smith are combined.

Wut? You say this after boozer had a 16 point, 6 steals game? What exactly has
roscoe smith or wayne ellington done to equal that type of production?

i would be shocked if he didn't make the 15 man roster. you really can't roll the dice with the point. you basically have to treat nash as a no show any given night and there is no way you go into the season with essentially just one PG on your roster.

I wish Nash would retire. Even if only for the sake of freeing up a roster spot

Honestly Boozer is taking away Randle's PT, there is no point in having him on this team since playoff/finals/whatever is not in the cards. This team needs to get as many young prospects in line to build a support/core for any high FA that may come along. All Boozer does is prolong the inevitable rebuild in a post-kobe era. We can't even trade his ass if he's back to Jazz Boozer.

Disagree. This team isn't at the point of the 76ers who are blatantly tanking. While we aren't a championship (probably not a playoff team either), I think the team is trying its best to foster a winning mentality, even if they can't win the necessary games.

As to Randle/Boozer, I used to think the same. Then I realized, he's 19. What was I doing at 19? In college, finding out who I was, let alone trying to be a major cog on a prestigious NBA program like the Lakers.

Boozer was brought in IMO to be Randle's Sherpa/guide. He's going to teach the kid the ropes. It's undisputed who is the future of the Lakers at that position. But the last thing we want to do is have him fail in his first year. With Boozer, Randle likely can't win ROY; but he won't fail either. They will rightfully ease him into the NBA life.

When he turns 20 next year, he'll be more ready.

Only on LG do people think that Boozer will take playing time away from Randle. It isn't something that is valid or worth worrying about. Boozer brings an interior scorer that this team needs. Thinking that Randle can't develop coming off the bench is flawed thinking.
