Giants just don't make many mistakes and they pounce on the other team's mistakes immediately

Royals are screwed, for a team with home field advantage only 1 of the next 4 games are at home.

Giants made that look too easy....Don't think this series will last more than 5 games.

Whoever wins game 2 wins the series. KC should bounce back but we will see. If they do, they have the confidence that they can beat. Then going to SF and daring them to win 3 straight or having to come back to KC is a HUGE advantage for them. Plus they've won every road game they've played this post season which is what, 5 out 8?

OTOH if SF wins, series is over barring a miracle which I don't see happening.

If the Royals lose game 2, they are screwed....I don't see them coming back and pulling off what the Yankees did in 1996.

This SF team has been tested. No way they fold if up 2-0 imo.

Sadly I must agree. Hoping for a KC win tomorrow otherwise I'm gonna hate baseball for awhile.

Did not expect 7 run explosion from this giants team. I think they're still riding high with momentum from the NLCS.

Royals are gonna tie the series up tomorrow, peavy has been excellent but he doesn't fare well against the AL. Im still picking Giants in 6.

IIRC, the World Series is a 2-2-1-1-1 format so, they'll play the next 2 at Frisco after today

That would take a significant injury, one similar to the Cards losing Molina.

No, it isn't.,....its 2-3-2...

You must be thinking of the NBA which changed their format from 2-3-2 for the Finals to 2-2-1-1-1 last year.

oh wow. Ok. I could've swore last year was 2-2-1-1-1.

I stand corrected.

They have never used the 2-2-1-1-1 format in the World Series. The 2-3-2 format has been in place since 1924 except during World War II when they went to the 3-4 format. I believe the LCS has been a 2-3-2 format as well since 1985 when it went to the 7 game format.

I think that run may be a good thing for KC, seems to have calmed Ventura and he focused in on the next 3 guys. 1 run shouldnt be a big deal when they're facing Peavy anyway. I think they'll hang 5+ on him.
