Anybody notice the Clippers new lighting at staples center?

I was watching they highlights and it seems that the Clippers, once again, have stolen the idea of the Lakers lighting system. They have went to a more realistic, stage like lighting over the bright, high school gym type lighting. They have dimmed the lights over the crowd. Damn, can we have anything to ourselves? They are just stomping in the Lakers footsteps. Can they even try and come up with their own, original ideas?

They are nauseating.

They are calling it a new LED lighting system. Whatever!

I dunno about you guys, but to me something looks... off.. with the Clippers lighting. Same when the Kings use it. It's like the colors are more dull. They don't stand out like how the purple and gold on the Lakers court are so bright.

Yeah... it's not like the Lakers invented and/or have a patent on it. A lot of the teams that have state-of-the-art arena are using similar lighting schemes.

Lakers fans just need to accept that, with Balmer as the owner, the ballgame has changed with the Clippers. They have a lot more money than we do and their owner is a very, very smart and wealthy person. Our history is our only competitive advantage now... nothing else.

actually what they did is copy the crappy lighting that existed in the 70's and 80's that illuminated the court and made the fans look dim and who cares what the flippers do anyway

First the Lakers did not copy the knicks, the forum had a little theatre lighting to it and it was built by the same architect that built msg.

second the clippers will use the STAPLES changed the lighting and we're just going with it excuse. Whatever, they're whole franchise is a joke. The first game this was debuted their announcers didn't even mention it as if embarrassed.

third theatre lighting is now a gimmick. Every team will have it, even though they don't deserve it. Joining the Lakers and knicks this year is the pistons, sixers, clippers, and a couple years ago the nets. A big stage the palace is ... (bleep) hell.
