Actually, I find there are MORE pro-Kobe sentiments out there as long as you're willing to look outside the realm of ESPN attention seeking pieces.
If these last few days have taught us anything is that ESPN only appeals to the moronic, the imbecilic and the stunted. Everyone else is pretty much pro-Kobe.
And we're talking North America only here. You can't even imagine the kind of support Kobe has in Asia. If he stops by Hong Kong tomorrow, I guarantee Occupy Central will seize immediately because they'd be busy lining up for his autographs. _________________ Eighth grade key phrases are crucial tools for this type of subterfuge: "team player", "make teammates better", "ballhog", "selfish", "court vision": all dripping with sanctimony and defamation. |

This. People tend to pay more attention to all the negativity, it's just the way human beings are. cant do much about that, the hippie revolution failed a long time ago. |

Author is on point:
"In a league that’s often referred to as less competitive to filled with a lack of passion, are there any players dedicated enough to forego their “happiness” for the ultimate goal?"
This is the real reason why, not that no one wants to play with Kobe.
If you are truly serious about your craft, you would do anything to learn from the best or jump at any opportunity to work along side them. Even if the best is past his/her prime. |
