People have raved about ballstreams...Wish there was a way to preview them cheap. Can someone take a screenshot, just so I can see the quality?

By the way, I'm shocked they are surviving being shut down by the NBA.

Been using it since preseason started the quality is legit

And they're based in the netherlands so they're somehow exempt from nba rules

ballstreams.com

Is what a lot of people use because it doesn't black out your local games. You have to pay though. Not sure if you still need an invite to sign up.

Thanks for the link. How is the quality of the stream? Does it black out National TV games?

Nothing is blacked out. All games... live and a LOT cheaper than league pass for same HD quality (3200 kbps).

i just did some research and it looks like ballstream looks legit. i will sign up tonight and let you guys know what it is like...it appears that this site is not illegal bc the NBA does not have any jurisdiction there in the netherlands so there is a very small risk of this site shutting down. they have been streaming the NHL for over 7 seasons.

It is ive put everyone i know on it.its a steal for HD quality and perfect for cord cutters like myself

Works great no issues here

Checkout league pass for Roku. You might need a VPN to bypass blackouts, not sure how it works on a Roku.

I may actually do this, thanks.

What are the ballstreams archives like? My work/sleep schedule will prevent we from watching the 7:30pm games at least until Feb. So I'll have to watch them next day. Are they like Hulu (good quality, yet not as bandwidth reliant as a live stream)?

How long does it take to get a ballstreams.com invite? I requested one but haven't heard anything back. Was hoping to get an account setup before tonight.

I would guess it depends. I guess since the season starts today, the wait will get longer.

Only reason I wouldn't pull the trigger on the ballstreams is because I'm a little worried of the NBA somehow shutting the site down

What I mean is, are the ballstreams archived games presented as streams like shows on Hulu or as multiple GB downloads?

Its like Hulu. No difference in quality between live stream and archived stream. The bandwidth limiting factor usually comes from the users end not ballstreams. You can select whichever server to use by regions of US to find one thats closest to where you leave.

Do you still require an invite to BallStreams? If so, does anyone have one for me?

I am not 100% sure but it doesn't seem like they are taking new members right now. I don't think current members can even renew their expiring accounts. At least last I heard. I still have around 290 days on my account though. I just hope the site doesn't die before I can use those days up. I am sure they will finish this season but if they don't start taking renewals again not sure if they will do a season after this one.

I have SportsDevil. What do you select to get to the Lakers games? And how soon do the games show up? Can I watch them delayed?
