Toffoli with serious boner-inducing magic with that shorthanded snipe. Holy (bleep). |

I guess the Kings aren't too worried about his current injury or a true sophomore slump. Good signing as he's one of the league leaders in Corsi. Hopefully they still have plenty of money to sign Pearson and Toffoli to long-term extensions. AAV of the deal is $4 million/yr.

Just wish it was a scoring touch. Only got to hear the horn once the entire game.
Quick brought it today and a good thing since wayward passes and early abortions on offense put him on a firing line. Crowd was dull until OT and the SO. Being outshot 43-18 does that. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

I think Pearson still qualifies as a rookie. Regardless, they are carrying the team right now offensively. |

Couldn't be a better setup. Let the younglings shape their game, build confidence, and improve so that in crunch time, they'll be ready. Allows the vets to take it easy in time for a playoff run. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Agree... And McNabb hasn't looked awful, which is a good sign. But the Kings really need to get back to their Corsi/Fenwick dominant selves soon. Quick is standing on his head right now and he's gonna need some support. Dean is gonna have some tough decisions this offseason, but he's the best GM in town so I trust his judgement. |

Yep, he played in 25 games last season, which means he's just eligible. Even more impressive! A Calder candidate for sure. _________________ 1996-2016

Kings will look better once they get Gaborik, Lewis, and Muzzin back.
As you can see from the puck possession game, Lewis is heavily missed out there. _________________

Damnit Slava. |
It was too good while it lasted. Stupid idiot just brought more bad mojo to the team. Kings already have too many men out with injuries, and here's a guy who's healthy and he gets himself in trouble. I don't get how he's suspended but can still be paid. |

* Sigh *
Kings lose in OT when Schenn runs into Quick after his shot and Toronto allows it. I'm fine with the loss as long as it keeps up the pattern of the Kings not getting obvious video replay calls from Toronto in exchange for getting them in their favor in the playoffs. |

The war room in Toronto is such a joke. I've never seen a department designed to overview plays in a professional sport get the call wrong so often.
Either way, Kings still keep their 8-game point streak alive. Hell of an effort considering we only had 19 skaters dressed. Nice to see Rick get on the board too, especially against the bitter folks in Philly. |

I think we've seen this story many times with the Kings. Stellar goaltending combined with little offense. I'm hoping they turn it on soon and get into a rhythm so they don't have to battle so hard for a playoff spot later in the season. The biggest concern is their puck possession. They haven't been nearly dominant in that area like in years past. |

It's just like the Lakers championship run syndrome. They just don't care enough about the regular season to give it 100%. They'll never admit it but it's just the way it is. _________________

LA Kings choke away the game against the Ducks with a 2 goal lead in the third. Kings looked really bad too. The suspension and injuries are taking a toll on the team. They look slow. Their defense has been subpar. They're not working hard to get the puck and when they do their passes haven't been very good. Quick hasn't been good in shootouts this season but he played balls out tonight. Pretty embarrassing effort by the Kings when the Ducks can dominate the shots without Perry and Beauchemin after so many days off. Anaheim looked really good. They just dominated play from start to finish and would've won easily if they had better goaltending. Kings cannot afford to give away any points this early with the way they're playing. Poor effort by the guys. |
