Holy crap, can you actually imagine the Lakers with that record? I guess we're a lock for #1 pick this year. Woot.

My prediction earlier in the thread was 2-8, and 4-13 through November.

Question is? At what point if any, do the lakers release B.Scott? In other words blame him.... Be careful for what you wish for, as I am sure Byron wished for the chance at coaching the lakers, he ate the "apple" knowing it was poisoned to begin with, he just had to sign on, poor guy...

Hmmm. I had them pegged for 3-7. Still possible. Gotta go 3-4 over the next 7 though. That'll be tough.

The 76ers will have the worst record but we'll be 2nd or 3rd.

Minny actually looks good, Rubio is getting everyone easy shots. They're athletic and young, they will run us out of the gym. It could be Memphis because they don't score a lot.

Against our defense everyone scores a lot. Plus they don't allow a lot.

Zach Lowe wrote this about the Lakers for this season and I don't necessarily disagree:

If they're going to miss the playoffs, might as well lose a whole bunch of games and go for the top 5 pick. I'm feeling a sub-30 win season this year.

Only way this team will tank is if Kobe is not healthy. If Kobe is playing, he will drag us to .500 ball. Also if we couldn't tank correctly when Kobe was out last year, what makes you think we will do it right this season?

did you see the Kobe that closed out tonight's game? he was dead tired. he's not quite the same closer, or player that he used to be.

literally his first time in closing games since he was last injured... he'll bounce back but we need to get him the ball in the post where he can get in rhythm. Lin just kept feeding kobe at the of the key lol.

I think we'll luck out and win 1-3 games out of our first 20... that will pretty much be true until either Boozer wakes up or Young/Kelly boost the team. Then, we could win 4-6 out of 20.

Ya because he was also working on defense guarding CP3 while scrub like wes johnson not doing anything

Kobe at this stage cannot be no 1 option on offense + defense.

IDK, he's had poor shooting 4th's before. it's not like his shots were missing short either.

I'd be very surprised if we beat the Pelicans. I think we have good shots at winning against the Hornets and our next game against the Warriors. We might also have more of a shot to steal some games as teams start overlooking us in their own schedules.

Teams will not overlook us because we are the Lakers.

Last night, the Suns said that they started to play in the 4th. The Clippers were the same way.

We simply are a poorly constructed team created by our distinguished management.

Kobe has poor shooting HALVES. He almost never puts two halves together anymore. And this goes back to the 2012-2013 season when he was healthy too. I think it's partly age because he's now more reliant on a jumper than ever before.

Why is our schedule so hard in the beginning of the year? Literally 9 of the first 10 games are against playoff teams. 8 of them West playoff teams
