Indy lost the title that night. I was almost sure they would go all the way. their lineup was tight. coaching was superb. so unfortunate, and it happened in a blowout win too... _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Yeah, they had a good chance of beating San Antonio. Because of this, their team was wrecked. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

That (bleep) is still hilarious, 10 years later. That night solidified Artest/MWP as being one of the most baddest MoFos in the history of this league.

Actually I think it solidified his reputation as being an unstable mental patient. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/

Honestly, if that never happened, I doubt the Pistons would've gone to the Finals.........and what are the chances that MWP would come to the Lakers later on in his career? So that fight changed the destinies of a couple of teams.

They were animals and completely given a free pass by BSPN. Those were the days when BSPN's entire business model was to demonize black athletes who didn't shuck, jive and grin, to the hilt. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

I blame the Malice in the Palace for James Harden's and Westbrook's "interesting" clothes. Without it, dudes would still be dressing up in sweats and all. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

If the Pistons had won the Finals that year, the Brawl basically would have been what did it for them (by knocking out the Pacers). As it is, the Brawl won them the ECF. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Yeah, it takes a real tough guy to go after fans in the stands. Piston players? Not so much. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I don't think you can say with a straight face that the fans were on their best behavior....these guys were heavily drunk and egging on the Pacers players for a fight....wasn't there a fan that was daring one of the players to fight him courtside?
