Wayne Ellington is expected to rejoin the Lakers in Dallas, Byron Scott says.

Glad to have him back!

Good. There is now no excuse for BScott to be playing Kobe 35 mpg. We need to get that down to around 30-32.

Mad respect for him. I can only imagine what kind of feelings he's going through.

Temporary is the operative word. And I'm sure the team will help pick him up when the time comes.

At the very least, no reason to slide Swaggy to SG so Wes can play SF like we did last night with the second unit.

Hope Wayne plays and plays huge. Guys should look for him consistently. He could use something positive.

With Swaggy back, and Wayne coming back, our second unit is starting to take shape. Really wish the RKelly and Randle were healthy.

I felt the same way when my buddy mentioned Ryan Kelly.

Ellington returns tonight. I hope that he can contribute something because it appears that there are changes on the horizon.

His future with the team as-well-as that of Price and Henry are open for debate now that the FO has had a chance to workout several prospects.

WELL I'M GLAD THAT'S OVER...

But it was good to see Ellington pick up a few minutes & points in garbage time. it had to help him mentally.

Kudos to Wayne Ellington!
He may not burn up the stat sheet & may not be on the team next season however he has found his niche on this team & his shots have began to fall.
(27-56 = 48% & averaging 8.25)

Since his return he has been a man on a mission.

He would be ideal to pair with Kobe to space the floor.

Wayne Ellington's Value

Quote:
Despite the occasional drought, Ellington’s overall numbers lend credence to his efficiency. He’s averaging 47 percent from the field this season with a solid 37 percent from beyond the arc. Additionally, his turnover rate is the lowest of any active player on the roster.

If he can start meshing with Lin, he can hit bunches of 3 pointers when Lin drives and kicks it out to him.
