Dad Dresses Up as Spider-Man to Surprise his Terminally Ill Son
A Dad in the United Kingdom had a bittersweet birthday surprise for his Spider-Man-loving son. Mike Wilson's little boy, Jayden, recently turned 5 years old. But sadly, Jayden has been diagnosed with a stage IV brain stem tumor and has been given just a year to live. So, to make #5 a very special birthday, his dad had a replica Spider-Man suit made with the secret plan to delight Jayden.
Jayden's mom brought the brave boy outside just before his Spider Dad leapt off the roof of the house and onto the ground in front of his son. A delightful exchange was had between the undercover dad and Jayden. It was all captured on a hidden GoPro and posted to YouTube, where the heartwarming video's popularity skyrocketed to more than a million views.

Killin' me. Man, what a father won't do for his children.
I absolutely hate that society has branded us as TV dads. Buffoons, stupid, ignorant. Moms are assumed to nurture, we are not. But a great dad is priceless. And that little boy will live on with those people forever. I'm glad he had a good birthday _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

Hard to imagine the pain his parents must be feeling now. I wish them the best, and I hope the kid is at peace now. I'm glad the dad worked to give him so many happy memories, even in his too limited years.
