I liked this biopic. Just wish the old couple 4 rows back would've stopped talking during the movie. Wasn't too happy they dumbed down the science significantly but it wasn't a big detraction.

What's it about? I'm hoping to catch "Whiplash" sometime soon.

Stephen Hawking's relationship with Jane Wilde and his battle with motor neuron disease.

I'm really looking forward to watching this movie.

I'm sure I will have no problem with the dumbing down of the science, because I won't understand anyway. My son, on the other hand . . . I'm sure he will have plenty too say.

It's about Stephen Hawking's relationship with his wife Jane and the progression of his condition during his college/post college years. I really didn't care for it and found it pretty dull, which is saying something given the extraordinary nature of the subject. Performances are all very good, but his romantic life is an odd focus for a movie about Hawking.

Whiplash, on the other hand, is fantastic.

Agree with this review. Performances are really great but the romance angle, not really an angle its the movie itself, was just not interesting or dynamic enough.

They probably just thought people had seen enough of the science angle through Hawking's own documentaries.
