LOL, that sounds a lot like the crazy logic Allen Iverson fans used back in the day to justify his terrible shooting percentage. I remember fans here mocking Sixes' fans relentlessly for it too. Kobe has been remarkable in generating offense for himself and others, but certainly his shot selection has left something to be desired. |

So what you're saying is that old man Kobe, with his achilles tear and borken leg, in his 19th season and still without his legs completely under him is playing like a sure fire HOF'er? Not bad. No, his numbers are just somewhat similar, but worse.. He has the worst qualities of Iverson with the low percentages (Kobe's are actually lower) and high field goal attempts and usage percentages (Kobe's are actually higher) without the good qualities, like the athleticism, speed, ability to penetrate and break down defenses, and disruption on defense. Kobe is way too experienced to be playing this way. |

And how did you not get banned with such offensive comparisson? Kobe is nothing like Iverson. Kobe loves practice, Iverson didn't practice. Kobe is a lot taller and that works against Kobe (except for blocks and rebounds). Iverson wasn't as exciting to watch and that's why he never got paid like Kobe. Kobe is a natural leader, Iverson was a bad teammate.

You need to update the title of this thread:
Kobe is now shooting only .379 FG%, just about the bottom of the league for qualified NBA shooting guards and well below the slumping Harden (.392FG%) and not in sight of Melo (.478%).
He needs to shoot less, a bit less iso, especially in the fourth qtr, its pretty painfully obvious to most. |
