I never thought I would say it this year but...
I AM BACK ON TEAM TANK!!!!
After much deliberation and many weeks on the fence, I came to the realization that 2 or 3 wins and we are still one of the bottom 3 teams in the west.
2 or 3 wins and we are like in the 8th position for the lottery.
Hear the Laker fans cry, Mitch! We want a top 5 pick!!! |

Minne will be missing three starters:
a) Their leading scorer
b) PG
c) Center
And d) Their backup PG was sick and missed the last game.
We'll need a team outbreak of food poisoning or something to lose this one. |
I should invite the team over for dinner then. |

Trading our pick for embiid when we don't know how healthy he will be a couple of years from now seems unwise. |

Yes, lets get more injured players (or injury prone players). We can't have enough of them. Fyi, Embiid had a fractured spine. Embiid will keep Randle company on the bench. |

Embiid would be the #1 pick in this draft fellas. Would u pass on Randle too? |

Embiid's injury is more problematic for his future than Randle's is. |

So no one's going to mention that trading for Embiid, we'd lose a year of his rookie contract? That's hugely important as we're already losing a year of Randle's rookie contract because of his injury. Give me Okafor, Towns, or Turner with 3 years on a rookie deal. |

Okafor looks so dominant down low and commands the ball. My favorite of all though, his two handed power slams and one handed throw downs, a la Shaq. |

And just to mention Shaq at the age of 19 was 6-11 and 260. So a guy like Okafor can still grow a couple inches and gain some muscle/strength along with trim some extra pounds while doing so. All this while he refines his game more. |

Okafor isn't really physically imposing anymore. he's really slimmed down. I do think he'll gain strength in his legs still. |

too bad the difference between shaq and okafor is that Shaq was a freak of nature. If okafor had half of shaqs athleticism hed prolly be an all star from day 1 |

Okafor is much more like Tim Duncan than Shaq. Both can work. But Shaq was so physcially gifted and played with such violence, they literally had to change the way baskets were constructed. |
