Zach Randolph

Dude can barely get off of the ground yet is having a monster season. Just another reason to appreciate a SG who can play at such a high level 19 years in.

IMO Memphis is the team to beat this season.

His soft touch goes a long way. A very good pairing with Marc Gasol.

He's been quite an unheralded success story given his early problems coming into the league.

His change of attitude is really, really surprising. If you hear him speaking these last years without knowing his past, you could never imagine he was such a difficult case back in the day.

Memphis was only able to sign Zach due to that "horrible" Gasol bros trade.

So, effectively, they replaced Pau with Zach and Marc.

They might have made the conference finals after last season if he wasn't suspended in game 7 against OKC. As a fan I felt cheated by that suspension (which I strongly disagreed with).

But can they beat the Spurs? They put up such a poor showing against San Antonio in the 2013 conference finals. Maybe someone else in the West will best the Spurs for them because the conference is so tough.

His attitude problems never really affected his production. Dude has been a solid 20/10 guy all throughout his career. He truly has been underrated....even now.

Z-Bo is a beast. Same goes for Lamarcus Aldridge.
Everybody is in love with The Brow.
But when it comes to winning close games, especially in the playoffs, I'll take Z-Bo and Aldridge. Jury is still out on Pau. But I have a feeling he will co-lead the Bulls to the NBA finals.

OKC could have easily lost to Memphis last playoffs if it weren't for Z-Bo's suspension.

When will the league realize, OKC's Adams is a dirty player and an instigator.

Grizz Bulls finals.

Would be the first time in NBA history two brothers faced off against each other.

Semis of Bulls-Wizards and Warrior- Griz would be fun to watch.
Before the Jeff Green trade I was leaning towards the Warriors getting out of the West. A lineup of Marc, Zach, Green, Conley and Lee would be difficult to stop. Lee is the weakest link offensively.

True. What was that overtime game earlier this season where Randolph took over in OT, just sweet play after sweet play in crunch time. He is rare.

(rant) The NBA fanbase has become way too distracted with stats and athleticism. Especially in the lebron era, unfortunately. basketball is not like baseball...stats don't help that much (stats help in ways that is unpopular to speak of in NBA talk). Athleticism is important, but not as much as people think. Skill is probably a lot more important in a sport like basketball. because, technically, you can't really run thru someone like a running back, so after a certain amount, more strength won't do all that much for you. You have to get around people and stuff. And the skill of making a shot is a non-strength issue (past a point, that is...all nba players are strong enough). All this to basically say randolph doesn't jump high, but he's damn good. I'll pick him over a lot of players.

That article is a must read for anybody trying to get an understanding of Zach's background, issues early on and current day "turnaround."
