Only if we get rid of this Moron Byron.

I wonder when that will happen...

Now that would be entertainment...

Lin would be better coach than BS, that's for sure. I'm serious.

Actually i seriously think that in 20 years or so Lin will be an established NCAA coach. The Harvard resume will him in that environment.

well, have we ever seen a laker game where we tank this blatantly?

this was bad. wow.

Well, there is no real way to spin this. We're tanking. The team knows it, the FO knows it. They fans and pundits know it. Just a matter of time before the press writes about it even if the organization doesn't acknowledge it.

but I've never seen it before in any laker game, where we purposely play to lose, not just the benching of lin, swag actually shot well but only got 20 minutes.

did we ever do this before?

and this is acceptable for laker fans?

to be fair wrt to Young, he shot well but had 0 rebounds 0 assists 0 steals 0 blocks and 1 turnover. he made himself extremely one dimensional tonight.

It's actually a fairly good game.

18 assist (19 for spurs)
8 TO (10 for spurs)
Clarkson 5/9 11 points 3 rebounds 4 assist
Hill, Ellington, Boozer, Young all in double digit.
Even Price got 6 assist 3 steals (ok 0/4 with 0 points but what do you expect)

The tie breaker is rebound and FT. 52 vs 40 for rebound, and somehow Leonard got 14 which is huge. For FT 14/20 vs 20/27.

Another thing I like is the distribution of the game. Shots are taken fairly evenly and that reflects on the score board as well. Out of 10 players played only Price didn't socre while everyone else have at least 5 points. I think that's a good sign. Not sure if this is by design or not though.

Granted Spurs didn't play that well, but I'll take it. Tank is going strong, players got PT to develop, what more can one ask?

It was definitely a winnable game with better coaching.

it was not a winnable game.

Duncan 20 min 14 pts 7 reb 3 ast 2 blks 0 tov
Parker 23 min 17 pts 4 ast 1 tov
Ginobili 23 min 15 pts 3 reb 1 ast 2 stls 2 tov
Leonard 33 min 15 pts 14 reb 3 ast 2 stls 1 tov

if it was closer and the Spurs needed the win, these guys would have played more minutes. doom for the lakers.

Unlike MDA, Scott has friends in LA to support him and the team is ready to tank this year, so he won't be accountable for any dumb decision.

Can you imagine someone playing as selfishly as NY for the Spurs. Of course you can't--the coach wouldn't allow it. Can you imagine a coach like Pops trying 2 PGs vs. the BS none we've seen, of Lin and Clarkson. We'd have two guys that can take it to the basket, that have some speed. I can't imagine it because it would require a coach that does more than stand there arms crossed with a blank look.

As for Lin…

"I know what Jeremy can do, so the next game it might be different," Scott said.

Lin left the locker room after talking to one reporter while a majority of them were still interviewing Scott outside the door. Lin later said on Twitter that he thought nobody had any questions for him and he would gladly talk to reporters after Saturday's practice, which was subsequently canceled by Scott.

More TV cancellations

TNT dropped its coverage of the New York-Lakers game March 12, replacing it with Memphis vs. Washington.

Earlier this week, ESPN canceled its broadcast of the Lakers-Knicks game Feb. 1 in New York.

Last week, ABC dropped the Oklahoma City-Lakers game March 1, though ESPN later picked it up. It was the Lakers' only home game on ABC this season.

Well yeah. Particularly that Knicks game, who is really trying to see that besides hardcore Lakers and Knicks fans? If it's an early game I might even skip it.

he actually talked to a reporter, other reporters were interviewing Byron, when they came over to the lock room afterwards, Lin was gone... let's say Lin did not wait them, since he did not need to shower...

Why are we yapping about this? If you are competitive and want to win then you want to play and you'll be pissed if you didn't and you'd really not want to speak to anyone. Rather a n athlete not talk to reporters than to say something stupid.

We're fans and that's what we do. Lin was pissed according to the reporter.

Did he say something pre game?

I thought he was trying to do what he was asked?

Did he deserve to be benched while everbody played? A slap on the face.

He should demand a trade since obviously bs is trying to ruin him in his contract year.

Honestly...Scott is beginning to worry me. Can you imagine the sideline looks if Lin had the ball stolen from him on an in bounds..."not tough, no BB IQ, etc, etc"

LOL, head of the snake sucks. Or BS sucks! Works both ways!

Reflexx with the assist, and freethrow with the slam!

Nice teamwork.
