fair enough. glad everyone sees that he isn't worth a damn skill wise. because he isn't.

just a court jester. nothing more.

He may not have playing time in team like Spurs.
There's many skillful players in NBA with great street-ball skills, but lack of team ball mindset.

The league has changed, iso play is no longer worked, every great team is playing great passing game.

what "street ball" skills does Nick Young actually have? He's not a good ball handler, finisher, or shooter. Most "street ball" skill players are usually at least phenomenal ball handlers aka Jamal Tinsley and Rafer Alston to name a couple.

I don't really understand what's going on here. Nick Young is not a bad player. He is a really great shooter. He's not the best in the league, but he's significantly above average. I have no problem with his skill set, whatever he does on the court.

To me, all this lashing against him sounds like people who just don't like him as a person, like his antics and stuff. I really could care less, I don't think it should affect any decisions regarding his employment with the Lakers. It's not like he's a bad guy, he's just goofy. Maybe people feel he is not taking winning seriously, I don't know. But as a basketball player, he's quite good.

And remember, we (Laker fans, LG posters) have a habit of lashing out at individuals without much good reasoning. We lashed at Barnes, and there was nothing wrong with him. At Odom all the time for being inconsistent, even though he was sooooo important for us. Artest, towards the end, for no reason. Kobe now, for no reason.

And ultimately, i think we are complaining about the tanking, and blaming the players and coaches for stuff. Hey, accept it...we are tanking, it's going to look bad, this doesn't indicate how good or bad the personnel is. How do you intentionally fail an exam, but look good doing it?

There is absolutely nothing to be fascinated about I Don't Make. He says nothing clever or funny; he acts like (bleep) when things don't go his way; and he's one-dimensional.

Nick young is a super poor mans Jamal crawford. When he is on, he can provide some much needed bench scoring. When he is off, he is pretty much the black hole and worthless. He just needs to learn to work within the offense and dish it off once in a while.

I like the guy, but I'd trade him in a heartbeat if the phone rang.

A two-year contract barely makes sense. But four? Not a good move for a one-dimensional journeyman chucker who gave himself his own nickname.

I asked Byron on Nick Young's status for tomorrow. Byron: "Questionable. Like everything regarding Nick Young, it's questionable."

Byron now sounds like a bitter old man... don't be a jerk Byron... stay classy.

I am hoping this works in straightening Nick out... tough love from BS.

Agree with your post, especially the part about giving himself his own nickname.

He can opt out after three years of his deal.

You actually believe this clown will do that? LA is the best thing to happen to him. Big market = self promotion

Flashy player who scores, is funny, and is very complimentary of Kobe. Why wouldn't LG love him?

I really don't get all the Nick Young hate. He's not the best but he has real value.
