Agreed. Getting DeAndre would get us that rim protector, strengthen our rebounding and defense, it would also knock down some of the competition form the Clippers.

I'll be even more realistic and say for conversation let's just pickup Austin Daye, who was recently released from the Spurs.

Austin Daye
Position: Small Forward
Height: 6'11
Weight: 200lbs
DOB: 06/05/1988 (26yrs old)

Daye has the height of a Center, but in the make of a Small Forward, he's definitely not big nor burly enough to play the PF position in this league. He spreads the floor and likes to hang around the perimeter. With his length and athleticism, he makes for a good defender on the wing and smothers opposing small forwards with his wingspan.

With his age, he still has a ton of upside, I would consider him on this team, because he could be more of a weak side shot blocker in transition which we lack. With so many players on the medical mend, it definitely wouldn't hurt the team any...

I just can't imagine D'Andre Jordan leaving the Clippers.

1. Clippers are a young and way better team than the Lakers.
2. The Clippers have a better coach than the Lakers (IMO)
3. D'Andre is buddies with Blake Griffin
4. The Clippers have CP3 to throw him all those lobs and easy baskets.
5. I imagine the Clippers can pay him more money than anyone else.
6. Clipper ownership/Management (Balmer) is probably better than the Lakers (Busses)
7. He can stay in LA.
What could the Lakers possible offer him that the Clippers can't?
