Can confirm that report by @tribjazz that Jazz big man Enes Kanter is hoping to be traded before the upcoming deadline.

Trade Hill for Kanter, we need a legit 7-Footer who can score in the post. Hill needs another team. We can even get a draft pick from them.

Maybe we can get Evans for Kelly too. Too many PFs around here.

Kanter is not much better than hill.

He is also not 7 foot

There's a reason Utah has been trying to trade him for 2 straight seasons now and yet there's no takers

Not sure we need someone that's necessarily "better" than Hill.

But he's a bigger body that will stay closer to the basket. What we lose with Hill's range we gain in defense.

It may just balance the team out a little.

Never said Kanter is better than Hill. I meant Kanter is better for our future. Getting a draft pick with him will be a win. Hill needs another team. We have a log-jam at PF and we need a center who can bang bodies on the interior. Hill is not that type. I would like to see Kanter as our backup C next year. Him and Davis would be great off the bench. (assuming we can get M. Gasol)

Personally, this is the depth I'd like to see for Kobe's final season

G. Dragic/Draft Pick (Hopefully #1 Overall)
K. Bryant/J. Clarkson/W. Ellington
Landry Fields/N. Young
J. Randle/E. Davis/T. Black
M. Gasol/E. Kanter

Kobe's final season is the 2015 - 2016 season?

Most probably. I don't see him coming back after next season, his contract will be up and I think he's tired of the injuries and wants to spend time with his family. (Also maybe give the world a son)

I could see Kobe coming back for one more shot at a ring if we were somehow able to sign Durant in 2016.

Even by using Lowball Numbers for some Salaries, your roster won't be possible.

Salary Cap == $68 million.

25 million -- K Bryant
11 million -- M Gasol
11 million -- G Dragic
5.2 million -- N Young
4 million -- 2015 Draft Pick
3 million -- E Kanter
3.1 million -- J Randle
2 million -- L Fields
2 million -- E Davis
1.5 million -- W Ellington
.85 million -- J Clarkson
.85 million -- T Black

________________________
$69.49 million

Some of the above would be candidates for the singular Room Exception ($2.814 million) that would be available. Additional players (late First Round pick from Houston, Lakers Second Round pick and a player @ the minimum) would absorb much of the money saved by shifting a player to the Room Exception.

I'd rather use Hill for Reggie Jackson. Much better upside.
