I predicted correctly that Wiggins would be the next big thing and that Exum wouldn't amount to much. Sure, he is just a rookie, needs to be given some time but he won't develop into a star player or anything close to it. 12-14 ppg player at best.
After Wiggins, I was most high on Randle. |

It's a bit early to be declaring victory on either prediction. |

The gold standard is Magic Johnson...of course that was a different time and era. |

That defense on Harden tho.
Wiggins had multiple stops on JH in that game. He's a perennial all defensive first team and just might win the DPOTY one day. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

He needs to stop trying to block jump shots at their release point, sure it looks great when it works, but when 2 minutes later you jump into him taking a 3 and send him to the line, the trade off isn't worth trying to overplay that much.
I also don't think i'll ever understand how Rubio can throw passes so perfectly weighted and directed and then be so god awful at shooting. _________________ I believe everything the media tells me except for anything for which I have direct personal knowledge, which they always get wrong |

Yeah, Magic and MJ have always represented the gold standard for me on precocious play out of the gate ... LeBron to a lesser degree.
And KAJ ... almost forgot about the big guy! |

Lebron is the gold standard for guys coming straight out of high school. That was just freaky. If you're going to count older guys, then David Robinson should be on your list. The Admiral was especially impressive because he'd been in the Navy for a couple years. |

I also predicted that Exum would be a bust.

Definitely agree on the Admiral. IIRC, his rookie year represented the biggest swing in wins in NBA history (21 wins to 56 wins!). Shaq in comparison took Orlando from 21 to 41 wins.
To be honest, a lot of the all time players of yesteryear who spent 2-4 years in college were monsters in their rookie year.
Hakeem was 20/12 his rookie year.
Patrick was 20/9.
Grant Hill was 20/6/5/2.
Shaquille was 23/14 (!!)/3.5
Blake Griffin also had a hell of a rookie campaign. |

Exum would have to make miraculous improvements in order to become even a respectable NBA player. He's earned a trip to the FT line exactly once in his last 25 games. I believe he's played around 600 minutes in that span, and 2 FTAs
I get that he's young, but he's also not the first young dude to ever play in the NBA. He's worlds away from even being decent. |
