The Lakers got to where they are today because they made numerous mistakes in the last 3-4 years. It is a snowball effect. One after another. Sure, you can say they got unlucky with injury. Though, it is no excuse to be this poor with no talent. There is only two ways to fix this problem, either got lucky in the draft or sign a big name free agent. Both seem achievable in the next 3 years but the Lakers FO have to be extremely careful in who they sign. If they allow the pressure from fan and media to get into them, they could be like the Knicks. |

Worst case: we become like the Boston Celtics after Bird got injured and retired.
I hate to say it, but I've felt for a while that the CP3 veto was our version of Len Bias: the beginning of the end abruptly coming just after our 16th title. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Worst case: we deliberately lose games to insure a top pick in the draft, and then use the pick to draft the next Greg Oden. _________________ I would rather have questions I cannot answer than answers I cannot question - Richard Feynman |

Worst case: Nick Young is still around. _________________ Nick Young would love to shoot Byron in the back, but there's a good chance he misses. |
