Doc is opened to the idea to have reporters, interviewers, analyst, writers, and insiders for the sim league. He understands that people are interested and would like to somehow be involved in the league. Well here is the chance. After talking with Doc, I have been allowed to open NEW positions for the new Media and Press feature in our league. The M&P will be a major part of our league, as they will help spread news, rumors, etc. Not only that, but on the Sim League's home website, Doc is making a new link just for the M&P, I do not know what will be the name, but Doc assured me that if your stuff is acceptable it will be posted at the site for all to look at! Thats right, your articles, your rumors, and even interviews with Sim League GM's. This will be very fun, and helps make the Sim League experience even more exciting. Right now I am just looking for 8 people to sign up, I need two right now in every catagory:

Analyst- You may have debates with other analyst, you will make predictions, and analysize moves. You will also analyize the outcome of games and stuff pertaining to that. You and writers will work together.

Reporter- You will go around to GM's and have interviews, you will be the first to report BREAKING NEWS as GM's will tell you of completed deals and moves that have been completed. Also you will

Insider- Obviously you will tell the inside scoop. You will be able to go around to every GM and ask what players they are interested, you will also be able to find out on rumors on trades. GM's will talk to you as you will be the easiest way to spread interest and news. An insider will be very important to the league as they will post rumors that may or may not be true, but GM's will take note of. (the Insider and Reporter will work closely together).

Writer- You will be able to write pretty much whatever pertaining to the league, you will be able to write articles, news, and interviews. You will work alot with insiders and reporters to get info for you columns, or you can just find it yourself. This will be most informative for the league, and will give more entertainment.

-that are summaries of the job descriptions, this is hot and can be really fun for everyone, jobs are going quick, so PM me or Doc if you are interested in either of these jobs or have any questions, Doc will post the names of the new M&P later tonight......

thanks, signup!!!!!!

What if you're already in the league as a GM?

MY FIRST ARTICLE - WINNERS AND LOSERS OF DRAFT:

As we all know, it was a crazy draft night. Several deals went down, as GMs rushed to get things done and pick the right players. And as always, there were bigtime winners and bigtime losers of the draft period.

First the biggest loser of the draft...

Chicago: Traded SF LeBron James, SG Cuttino Mobley, 2008 2nd round pick(CHI) for Kings SG Ben Gordon, SF Adam Morrison, 2007 1st round pick(SAC).

One Western Conference GM was quoted as saying, "Gonzaga Alum obsessed over Morrison and traded the 2nd best player for an unproven SF who may be an all star but not a superstar and for an undersized SG."

I second those sentiments. While Morrison may turn out to be an all-star, you just don't give up Lebron, who could go down as one of the greatest players in history. Not to mention, Lebron has a huge fan base - which will sell tickets.

Rumor has it that the Chicago GM turned down trade proposals involving Dwyane Wade - which adds to the absurdity of trading for Adam Morrison instead. Even trading for Wade might be a step backwards, since Lebron is just as good as Dwyane. It's obvious that GonzagaAlum's bias for Gonzaga player Adam Morrison was a factor in his decision to trade - and it looks like that bias may cost him in the long run.

Now for the biggest winner....

Seattle was a huge winner in the draft. They drafted Shelden Williams, who in my humble opinion is going to be a good pro. Pair up Shelden with Elton Brand, and you've got yourself a dangerous front court. Brand is a solid shotblocker (one GM went so far to say that "he is one of the best, regardless of his size"), but Sheldon has the potential to be even better. So what Brand lacks, Shelden makes up for.

The other big winner was obviously the Kings. They got Lebron, who will likely guide the Kings back to their glory days of the early 2000's.

One GM I asked thought that the Knicks were big winners in the draft. Jacko was wheeling and dealing on draft night, and he did indeed make some big changes.

Atlanta's GM was reportedly very upset with a trade offer he received from Sacramento. Arrohbee was ored to have been offerred Thabo for Chris Webber and Marcus Vinicius, and shot the offer down immediately. While Webber does have a massive contract, Arrohbee likes Webber's veteran impact, and isn't concerned about holding onto his big contract for a few more seasons. When I asked him about the deal, he had the following to say: "The trade was ridiculous!!! You dont trade a future hall of famer for an unproven scrub. I rather get fired than get shot by an ATL Hawk fan." Enough said.

Overall most of the GMs had a nice draft and accomplished many of their goals from those I have asked.
