Quote: | Man reportedly stabbed during Celtics game
On the court, the Celtics got one of their biggest wins of the season, a 95-92 victory over the Grizzlies that keeps Boston in the thick of the playoff race.
Off the court, things were much uglier.
M.G. Lee of The Boston Globe:
Police responded to TD Garden tonight after a man was stabbed during the Boston Celtics game.
The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to David Estrada, a spokesman for Boston police.
This is unfortunate, and hopefully the man makes a full recovery.
If he was stabbed with a knife smuggled past security, this could lead to widespread changes in how fans enter NBA arenas. More invasive searches might not be the right answer, but they could still be coming. That’s usually how this works. |

I would think metal detectors would catch a knife/blade? Maybe I'm mistaken.
Separately, I saw the video online and found it pretty funny that the two people arguing and fighting were both wearing Rondo jerseys and were not paying attention to what was the last minute or two of an extremely close Celtics/Grizzlies game that the Celtics had a chance at winning.

Paul Pierce already told the police he didn't see anything. |
