| As somebody who watched an occasional UCI basketball game on TV in the past, I'm surprised they never made the tournament before. Looking at all their fellow conference rivals, like Cal Poly, CSULB, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, and UCSB all of whom have made the NCAA tournament in division I at some point, this was surprising news to hear. |
