Too much attention is paid to flopping. What about thugs like JR Smith and Kenneth Faried that go out there and literally try to injure others? Flopping should be frowned on, but in the end it's mostly just silly and harmless. It's the violent thugs that should be thrown out of the league.

The problem with flopping is it's starting to reach an epidemic level where it's deciding games (I have a suspicion that that's why Chandler wasn't tagged with a warning, when the nba admits flopping decides games, it also admits flopping is a problem, and where that leads). When it was some dude falling out of bounds in the 3rd quarter, it didn't matter, added to that, the interior game now is completely devoid of any potential because you've got centers like Chandler and Bogut (and a whole bunch of others, but they're two of the worst) hurling themselves to the ground at the slightest touch.

Mario Chalmers: C

He hits the floor like a rock, but way too much arm waving. Nice try, I guess, but he didn't get the call. Mario, you need to talk to Dwyane about your technique.

Darren Collison: C

Come on, man. This would be a lower grade, except that he shows some enthusiasm. Note the way that the referee and the opposing player don't even react.

Trevor Ariza: B+

It wasn't original, but it was well executed. He got the call and made all three free throws. I watched the first half of this game, and Harden wasn't getting any calls. Go figure.

Kevin Love: C-

I'm not really sure that this is a flop, as opposed to him just falling down like a klutz. Love has been a flop so far this year, but I didn't know you could be fined for that.

Devin Harris: Incomplete

The NBA did give him a flop warning, but the video on the website is the Love flop.

P.J. Hairston: F

This is pathetic. With a little guard like CP3, the helicopter move just looks silly. For someone like Hairston, it is an eye roller. Really, he paid five grand for this? He had no chance of getting the call unless some ref wanted to stop the game to laugh at him.

LOLOLOLOL. They just showed this again on NBATV. So bad. Just unreal.

It looked like Love just stumbled when he tried to turn around.

Gerald Henderson: B-

Normally, I would give this a lower grade because he didn't get the call. But he really sacrificed his body, and besides it's just fun to watch.

Glenn Davis: B+

Something big is going down. It has been a few years since anyone broke a backboard. This guy could break the freaking floor. Rumor has it that seismologists around the world called the NBA to point out the flop.

Russell Westbrook: A

This has something for everyone. It's athletic. It's against Chris Paul. It gets the call . . . from Joey Crawford. It's a three shot foul. It would get an A+, but he missed one of the FTs. MVF . . . MVF . . . MVF!

You have to admire the gusto on this one, and slapping the backboard is a nice touch. He gets the call and makes the free throws. However, I miss the Mohawk.

Patty Mills: C

Someone has been watching too much of the NCAA tournament. It's a pretty good cannonball flop, I suppose, but it doesn't look remotely real. He doesn't get the call. He probably had Gonzaga vs. Arizona in the title game.

O.J. Mayo: D

Come on, man. If you don't have the conviction to hit the floor, you're not a real flopper. You should have kept running . . . to the locker room.
