Actually, it seems BS wanTed this win too like vs Celtics, Bulls and the 1000 game. He can bench Lin & Davis if not.

that would be too obvious tanking... the media would be all over the lakers afterwards...

Media? Most if not all of the LA media has embraced Team Tank. Heck, even John Ireland seems to be on board.

Team tank may be lasting another 6 years.

"Davis, meanwhile, had an 8-minute stretch where he was king of the world.

I couldn't go to the bathroom without asking him first (this, as I understand it, is the first job of kings-- telling their subjects when they can and can't go pishy), and neither could Nerlens Noel.

There was one possession when Ed thunderdunked it over Noel, and another where he ate his bagged lunch and shoved him to the ground."

And despite playing the Knicks and Sixers recently, Lakers still have played the second most difficult schedule in league based upon winning percentage of opponents already played: http://playoffstatus.com/nba/westernsospg.html

Thanks DB. It is quite strange watching the fans' reaction at the game. They cheered every time Lin and the Lakers scored or defended. They are the paying fans and yet they want to win and not tank, whereas quite a few here want to tank so much enough to suggest physical violence against Lin for playing a good game. LOL. It is too simplistic to suggest that they cheer for tacos considering how much they shell out for the tickets. They just want Lakers to win and not play fake bb. Who are the real fans? Does the FO care more about one type of fans than the others and so they make their decision based on that?

The only thing that bothers me is wondering if Lin and Davis could have played so well together in other games as many on this forum used to query. It was the 76s who totally suck but it was still intriguing.

They play well together. Some teams can defend them better and disrupt some of what they do more, but they would have been effective against many teams.

You guys obviously don't live in LA....
The LA media has been putting the tank standings on the sports reports...

Many of those in attendance are going there for the event. They are casual fans or maybe not even basketball fans at all.

They have paid there money and want to have a good time, so it is natural to root for the home team.

Btw, I still do not get the its too obvious to bench Lin. Lin was clearly heating up late in the third, and BS could have benched him without raising too many eyebrows.

Not to mention, he could always use the I want the young players to get experience card. Which is actually the proper play.

Finally, people in the media either mostly stopped caring or have accepted that the Lakers need to tank. It seems that BS's mind or pride are one of the last few holdouts.

What does the Internet have to do with that....Anybody who is a serious Laker fan already accepted that we need to tank and get a top pick whether to build for the future or use as an asset to trade for a better player.
