Seriously. It's past trade deadline so too late for Dean to get a Sniper/Playmaker.

Alec Martinez, Tanner Pearson, and a playoff Mike Richards are just inching to say hi.

If anything, someone needs to tell Dustin Brown to stop trying to think he's a fancy puckhandler and just play the north-south game. He was frustrating to watch on offensive rushes.

Brown's ability to agitate and frustrate is still there but that utter drop off in offensive awareness is just stupefying.

Kings haven't been able to score goals and are giving up third period leads. Not a good sign.

And they tie the game and send it to OT. Hopefully they can win it in OT. Kings need all the points they can get.

Bad and critical loss.

Now 4 points behind Winnepeg and 2 behind Calgary for even a playoff spot.

They started out looking really good then didn't have it in the 3rd. Not sure what to make of this team. They looked similar last year too before they flipped the switch though but they're playing a dangerous game. We should have definitely won this game.

We were on a roll before the trade. You never know how certain guys leaving, and certain guys coming into the team/locker room/game, can affect the overall team.

Good win against the Rangers. Every point counts. Cannot leave any on the table.

The Kings clearly flipped the switch about 12 games ago, I just hope it isn't too late.

That Vancouver game last week didn't look too good though. If we're in the playoffs, I'd be SHOCKED if we dont make it to the WCF again.

I have no explanation for that game other than it looked pretty good through 2 periods.

That was bad though in the 3rd, but it is one game and they have been playing better overall.

I agree with you that if they make the playoffs, no team wants to play them and honestly I do think they have the ability a little bit to ramp up the ultra physical style in the playoffs (no way to do that over a whole regular season) and grow the playoff beards and lay down the gauntlet again. GKG!

Man, that "pump fake" assist by Sekera was awesome and the defense really locked it down. Loving what I saw for those last 5 or so minutes. Real playoff intensity.

And yeah the beginning of the Vancouver game looked good but they just shat the bed in the 3rd which gave me flashbacks to the 2008 Kings

I do agree that the switched has been flipped and am hopeful it is enough. Martinez will only get better as he gets back into the swing of things. Sekera is getting better. Doughty and Kopi always bring it along with Carts and Toffoli. I hear Pearson may be back within 2 weeks too.

It's not enough that we win. Others have to lose.

I think we control our own destiny for now...? Might just be for a WC spot though. I still think we end up 2nd in the division but we will see.

After today's win and Calgary's OT loss yesterday, we're in as the last of the 3 teams in our division. Winnipeg looks like they'll win today also so they increase their lead in the WC over us if Calgary beats us out for the last spot.

They win out they get second in the division since they would hold the tie breaker over Vancouver in the event of a tie I believe. As long as they keep playing this way, they're in and the rest of the league is in trouble.

If Pearson comes back and plays like he did early in the season, I would think this year's team is almost comparable to last year's team. Sekera > Voynov.

However, they sorely miss Willie Mitchell. It's too bad that McNabb is a rookie so Sutter isn't gonna give him much PT over a vet like Regehr even though RR hasn't been the best Dman on the team. Ideally they pair up Sekera and McNabb again as they played extremely well together.

Huge opportunity tonight.

Wild beat Flames in regulation last night to preserve our 1 point lead and give us a game in hand. Now we catch Minne on the tail-end of the B2B. Push that lead to 3 points over the Flames and be 4-0 on this current beast road trip.

With how we're playing, and where we are in the standings, it may be more practical to root for a Jets regulation win tonight over the Canucks now.

Yep. Get the points, get ready for the h2h's against our direct competition for the playoff spots.

Eddie Lack's been too good for Vancouver lately. It might be hard to catch up with them (and tells you how awful Tortorella was). Though Jets get Byfuglien back. Have a bad feeling it could be an OT game.

My bad on tonight's schedule. It's actually DAL @ Van, which makes the rooting situation easy tonight. Lack has been a beast. If we do qualify and have that #3/#2 matchup, I still always love how we match up with them but it will be a bit more difficult.

Jets need to stumble a just a bit more for insurance purposes. Buff back for them will be a huge boost.

It would be great to close this trip strong with a win at Chicago but obviously that is not an easy task.

If they beat Chicago, I think a 4-1 trip will be what we look back at as key in the season. Great opportunity to be had.
