Fill needs: C and SF

Order of pick: Towns or Okafor then Winslow.

Next year:
Starters:
Kobe still excellent player
Randle
Clarkson
C draft Towns or Okafor
SF draft Hollis-Jefferson or similiar

Keep
Nick Young (bench scoring)
Tarik Black
Ed Davis
Jordan Hill
Ryan Kelly shooting
Ronnie Price maybe
Xavier

And if play cheap keep maybe
Wayne Ellington
Wesley Johnson
Lin ( only if way way less)

Unlikely to sign a big name free agent this year. Lakers can't depend on this route anymore.

But can do an immediate rebuild if smart.

Heck yeah they can, even if Kobe is dropped down to 28 minutes or so, he's still an 18-20 point guy. Randle will be AT LEAST a 15-8 guy and Clarkson will be at least a 15-5-6 guy. That is a great start considering we have a 3 picks and 22 million in cap space. We just might have to over pay a bit for the right complementary players.

Musical coaches is not professional.

Byron Scott can do the job.

He could use better assistants.

This is predicated on Kobe taking less after contract runs out.

Kobe has enough money.

Now he has to build on his legend.

To be honest if Randle is starting next year, then that means we are a bad team.

Our future is looking a lot better, but it's going to be tough if we have to depend on two rookies in our starting line up next year. (I consider Julius as a rookie)

you're just setting yourself up for disappointment if you think the Lakers are going to field a team with 3 rookies and a second year player and all of them are going to perform well on the box

Guys put a lot of faith in Randle. I hope abot 15-8, but he still has to show he can do it.

Summer league stats
12.5-4.25

Pre Season
6.8-4.8

Is it even possible to sign both Middleton (who we'd likely have to max or near-max to get Bucks to pass) and Danny Green (who I'd imagine is going to get $8-10 million per)? Along with resigning Davis at center? We'd likely need $28-30 million for those 3 and we have $22. I'd love it but not feeling the cap room. I'd be cool with any two but even that might be a stretch.

If we don't pick up Hill's option, we'll have about $30 million in space

We have around 27, and the top five pick would have to come out of that as well. If we keep the pick, we have roughly 22-24 depending upon where it falls.

Am I the only one not enamored with Tarik Black? I mean, he's an energy player.. and benefits from playing with players like Clarkson and Lin.. but he often-times fumbles the ball or isn't even ready for the pass. I get that he's young.. but I don't know.. I don't see the appeal.

I forgot about the rookie salary and the open roster spots. So yeah $23 million or so sounds about right. And that's fine. I never thought we'd do a significant rebuild until Kobe's salary was off the books.

Not if he produces.
