For me it really depends if Cousins can attract another star with him. If signing him means signing a guy like Jordan or LMA then I'm all up for it. If not then I prefer to roll out with the young studs out there. Also that depends on Kings taking Nick Young off our hands and/or waiting after free agency to pull the trigger.
No. Willing to risk that Randle, #4 and #28 picks will collectively contribute more then Cousins as the core foundation with Clarkson for the next several years.
Also consider. This is the last significant draft for a couple years. Lakers still have to give Philly a 1st round and Orlando a 1st and 2nd. After this draft it is only free agents improving the team.

Two lottery picks and another 1st round pick is too much to give up.
I love me some boogie, but his defensive presence is still so bad that despite his monstrous numbers and some nice talent in Sacramento, they still can't sniff the playoffs. I'd rather keep our picks to ADD to our core instead of using the picks to REPLACE core pieces, especially when that lottery talent will likely remain salary-controlled for the next few years; and that gives us additional flexibility to sign even more talent.
No. I want to see Randle grow into his own as a Laker. Anthony Davis is the only guy I'd give him up for. _________________ Lakers, today. Lakers, tomorrow. Lakers, forever.
No that's too much for a player I don't think has shown he is a great player on a good team.
Cousins has major talent, but he seems like someone who would best be served being a 2nd guy on a team with a clear cut alpha male leader aka Kobe. If Kobe were in his prime this makes more sense. As is, that's a lot of your assets on a number 2 who still has to learn a lot about what it takes to win games.
I'd give that same package up for Durant if KD were on a longterm contract (which he isn't)
Talent aside, I wouldn't do this because of the salary cap. The top 5 pick, Houston pick, and Randle would cost about half as much as Cousins. The Lakers make this trade and they can't sign a max player this summer.

Demarcus Cousins trade rumors are heating up. Randle is my favorite player on the team and he appears to be the total opposite of Cousins in terms of character/attitude
Cousins....character issues? Also why would a team trade a top 2 or3 center for a couple of rookies (one untested) and a low draft pick?
thats too much for a player demanding to be traded.
Doesn't matter what he's demanding. He's an all-star who is under contract for three more years. The Kings don't need to trade him, and they certainly don't need to let him go for cheap. Two years from now might be a different story, but they're in the driver's seat now.

I would say randle and the 28 is good enough for Demarcus
My guess is the league at this point does not value Randle as highly as Lakers fans do. I imagine he's viewed more as an unproven rookie than the next big thing.
