Gasol made the 2nd team. Duncan made the 3rd team, at the age of 39. Clippers had 3 All-NBA players.

Marc just accomplished something his big brother has not.

(No, this doesn't mean he has had the best career.)

Tim Duncan being considered a forward or a center when it suits him really bugs me. Two years ago he got into the All-NBA 1st Team as a center and got into the All-Defensive 2nd Team as a forward. This year he got in the All-Defensive 2nd Team as a forward again. So which one is it? Is he a center or forward? Or are we gonna disregard positions and just put guys wherever it suits them? So why was Kobe never considered a forward? Why has LeBron never been considered a guard or even a center? He certainly plays all 5 positions. I guess since Duncan is such a "nice" guy no one pays attention to this injustice.

It's not like Duncan is the only case of a guy being named to different positions. One year, John Havlicek made the all-NBA team as forward and the all-defensive team as a guard.

Michael Cooper made the all-defensive team as both a guard and a forward. Theo Ratcliff made it as a forward and a center. Bruce Bowen and Taysuan Prince made it as a guard and a forward. Joakim Noah as a center and a forward.

Bob Pettit and Dirk made all-NBA teams as both forwards and centers. David Thompson as a guard and forward.

I think they just give the voters the latitude to do what they think is best with guys who play multiple positions.

3 out of 15 were from the East. 3 out of 15!!! So 20% of the best players this season were from the East, 80% were from the West. What a (bleep) joke of a conference.
