Christian wood is a Greek freak type. You can't duplicate a player but you can work Wood into Giannis' mold

Oh he's from Palmdale? Welcome to the Lakers son.

Is he a Quincy miller type?

Right now he's probably a Quicny Miller type in terms of play style. But he has much better physical tools. Quincy is 6'10 but still only has tweener length. Wood has elite length for a Center.. So if Wood reaches his potential it's much higher than Miller's.

Wood reminds me of Austin Daye.

Also Miller was nowhere close to the rebounder or shot blocker that Wood is

Wood would be a steal at 27. High reward player if he pans out at 27. Playing the 4, he'd also be a good fit beside Okafor.
lets say at 27 both Woods and Upshaw are still on the board, who would you go with?

Tough question. I probably go with Wood as he can play multiple positions and has a ton of upside vs. Upshaw who is a 5 only that also has a lot of upside but questionable discipline.

I would also try and trade our 34 plus Hill to the team picking 28th and draft Upshaw as well

I think Upshaw's game is more NBA ready, Woods is more of a project.

I've come around on Tyus Jones. If he's there at 27, pick him!

Disagree on Quincy Miller type. Really think he's an uber-raw version of Marcus Camby before the post skills and has some limited perimeter game instead.

Quincy Miller wasn't really the same after he tore his ACL.

Hopefully, for us not for him, Kelly Oubre drops that far. The kid has a complete game for a one and done.

1)Tyus Jones
2)Justin Anderson
3)Delon Wright

All are very different players but if any of these guys are available I would take them. I would even trade 27 and 34 to try and move up to the 20-23 range and get them but I doubt there is a team that values the 34th pick that much

Tyson jones isn't explosive. at best he can be a Ronnie price and stick in the league. Kendall Marshall isn't quick or a great athlete but what to a big name school. How did that turn out.. Give me rozier or one of the Brazilian point guards

Tyus Jones can actually shoot and pass.

Ronnie Price was a SG in a PG body.

I'm super high on Rondae Hollis Jefferson. I want him even if he's not a good fit with our team.

Super athleticism, great motor, and he has a 7'2 wingspan. I'd even consider trading our two picks this year and a future 2nd rounder for him.

If he could shoot, I think he'd go in the lottery somewhere between 8-15.

Okafor, Justin Anderson draft!
Bring back Ed Davis, J LIN

Give me this bench
C: Davis/Sacre
PF: Black/Kelly
SF: Anderson
SG: Young/Brown
PG: Lin

go hard after a free agent SF to complete the team

w/ RHJ, he also can't really drive or dribble. Those are some of his problems besides shooting. Not a bad player though.

Agree, but the fact that he's a national champion will raise his stock. I think he goes 16-22 ish. Scouts love that "he's a winner" stuff.

If he could shoot or dribble, I think he goes ahead of Winslow. Probably the 4th best prospect.

Wood, Upshaw, or Anderson if any are available. Draft and stash De Paula at 34.

I think Anderson can be Danny Green in a year or two. Shot 46% from downtown and is an athletic beast. He is also a good character guy from all reports. Trade 27 and 34 to grab him.

Okafor and Anderson is my dream draft. If we got those two guys, I wouldn't care if we struck out on every single FA target. Okafor/Randle/Anderson/Kobe/Clarkson. We won't in a ton of games with all that youth, but in a couple years, it could be special.

I still think that # 27 should be best player available, preferably a shooter. At 34, we REALLY need to take Vince Hunter.

Combine 5 on 5 Stats

Watched him in college, watched him outplay Stanley Johnson and the guy has a nonstop motor.

9 offensive rebounds in the first half alone during the combine. Not a great shooter, but he can definitely bring the kind of hustle and drive you want from a solid rotation player.

I'd go with Upshaw and a mess of team options on his contract to
try and keep him honest...

I repeat this again. Who ever is the toughest mofo in this draft with decent basketball skills, I want at the 27th pick.
