Trying to be unbiased and the biggest factor is health for me so I'll take Jordan. Even if you think that Howard still has the edge on Jordan, you don't want to be worried every time he grabs something on his body. I give him a lot of credit of playing though being hurt now, but Jordan is young and has had 3 straight 82 game years.

Same. DJ doesn't pout if he doesn't get touches.

I also believe he has a great impact on defense than Dwight.

The fact that this is even a debate, one that isn't invalid, shows how limited Howard is to most people. Same salary, the answer is Howard. But Jordan's salary has been much lower, thus making Jordan's deal a better value.

Dwight.

It'll be only be a debate on a Laker or Clipper board.

Dwight's a better player but given injury history, age and petulance, I'd take Deandre.

The stuff that Dwight does poorly is stuff that DJ is even worse at so I don't see how this is even a debate (other than the fact that most of us don't like Howard).

Deandre.
But I prefer Ibaka to both of them.
And I'll probably prefer WCS to both of them in 2-3 years. Since WCS will be a much better value.

What about Draymond Green?

He's on a different list.
You gotta get 2 blocks or more (when healthy) to make the list I'm talking about.

Deandre... he's the prototypical center that most teams need these days... athletic, focuses on defense and rebounding while being just fine working without the ball on offense.
Howard has the ability to do the same but if he is not getting touches he turtles down.

We've never seen a team built around DJ so it's hard to say. But I don't want to say Howard because I hate him.

Howard hasn't pouted for touches in 2 seasons. Let the past be the past.

I'd rather have Jordan depending on what's going on with Howard's knees. If I knew Howard would be healthy then I'd definately take him.

^^ This. Jordan knows his limitations and understands there is a roll he can play that will help his team succeed. Dwight wants to be the man, and he never will be.

And the season prior someone woulda took Embiid and someone woulda took Noel the season prior to that. But as we see once we finally get to see these guys play at an NBA level, we realize how rare it is to have a C give you the kind of numbers/impact Howard or Jordan actually give. Odds are WCS and Okafor will never be as impactful as Howard.

You have watched Howard play over the last two seasons, alongside Harden, and you still think he "wants to be the man"? What have you honestly seen in Rocket games to make you think that's the case? He's been a clear 2nd option, without any complaint.

Now I agree that he should just ignore posting and be the P&R type, but last season we had no one else to post and you gotta post at times. This season D-Mo was clearly a better post option but they didn't play a ton together due to injuries. It would have been interesting to see if he would've deferred to the better post scorer. But getting posts when you never should doesn't translate to "trying to be the man" either.

Your boy coward is shooting 41% from the free throw line in the playoffs.

Making Shaq look like Reggie Miller at the FT line.

Neither. Legit big men in an era where there are no big whom cant lead their team to titles are wasted money. Especially when their mental midgets.

True, we haven't seen Okafor or Towns play yet in the NBA, but I have indeed seen Dwight Howard play many games across his career in the NBA.

My original comment stands.
