Hold off on cackling. Ain't done a thing on court so far. As I recollect, these same voices were proclaiming Laker triumphs for three or four Summers in a now. |
It was a crappy season. In fact the worst one in franchise history. Not sure what there is to "laugh" about. |
I guess the message was unclear to some. I was suggesting that wiser folks restrain ourselves from undue celebration until something actually is actually delivered (record above .500, a playoff berth, actual playoff competitiveness, a championship berth run, a championship win.) |

Looking to a rookie to have that much of an impact on w/l record is fools gold. Wiggins does play for the TPups.
Nabbing that 2nd pick is more about turning the tides of fortune than counting on someone like Magic to come in, play all 5 positions, and wins us another chip. |

it's possible, but not in the Western Conference of today. |

It's the offseason and we're coming off two 20 win seasons and finally are getting some pieces in place. People have a right to be happy. |

I agree everyone should be "happy." I'm disagreeing with those who think they had some right to crow over others who were miserable during this miserable season. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Our situation is better, simply because we're not Minny. That organization has proven itself to be incompetent. It's a reach to expect them do a better job of building a team this time.
They could land next years #1 pick and still end up being a lottery team 5 years from now. |

A little too early to say that with any definitiveness just because of Mitch's comment in an interview. Even Mitch said that. |

I didn't click the actual article. So Mitch didn't actually confirm either way. Awesome, another ESPN click bait article. |

Again, the Lakers have a great chance to sign an impact FA this summer because Kobe will be retiring, and Okafor will be going into his second season. Okafor should be a 20 point scorer by them, so players will feel comfortable playing with him. Drafting Okafor is like adding a major FA already. |

Yuck to Melo.
If he had been on this team, it would be like choosing him over Okafor + a max slot this off-season (Melo would be the max slot we have available AND we would have won more games with him on the team, thus dropping out of the top 5).
No thank you. |

Sign Butler, Middleton or Harris this year, sign Kevin Durant the season after.
I love it when a plan comes together. |
Trying to go back to the LOTS of small forward days? |
Either one of the first three players I mentioned can be moved to SG.
Clarkson
Butler, Middleton or Harris
Durant
Randle
Towns/Okafor |
It would most likely be Carroll, not the restricted free agent you have listed.
Next off-season, we will actually have two max slots ... maybe we save one of those slots to woo Westbrook the following year. I wouldn't cry over that. |

I dunno if tier 1 free agents will be lining up at the door to play with the #2 overall pick but I think selecting the right player after getting this pick might be the turning point to bring us back to the glory days or contention. |

Idk about that we were pretty bad . Assuming melo occurred the same injury we would have been rite in the tank of things. |
