Not like the Lakers to not give their coach a chance at an uninjured season. Byron will get at least this coming year to prove himself. |

I don't see why we send Scott to the lottery only to be fired. The Lakers want Scott back and trust their plan..... I hope |

I plugged into the thread early which is probably why I don't see more, FIRE SCOTT, HIRE THIBODEAU. Not gonna happen.
How foolish would the organization look to fire him after the last two previous coaching hires proved to be disasters?
Scott will be given a chance to see what he and the NEW team are capable of achieving.
In my memory Scott was reluctant to play rookies. I don't think he'll have a choice with this team.
My angst is will he be able to develop them? Does he have the wherewithal? He's no Popovich. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Being serious though, id love to have thibs as our defensive coach but highly doubt he'd take an assistant role. |

Having Thibs be the head coach would all but guarantee that Okafor erases his defensive issues. I wouldn't mind having Thibs for that reason alone. He's the guy you want molding your draft picks. And if defense is the only thing keeping your pick from being a superstar, well, it's a no brainer. You sign Love on top of that and then it becomes a necessity. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |

Hire Thibs. He's exactly who LA needs to reach our youth to play championship level defense. |

The Lakers won't fire Byron Scott after just one season. |

He would improve our defense....but if you listen to what Bulls fans have to say, he is no different when it comes to Byron Scott in managing minutes....he basically runs players into the ground. |

Part of the Bulls problem is that their front office is not willing to admit the Derrick Rose experiment is a failure. They have so invested themselves with Rose that they can't admit it and move on. The fact they are depending on a guy who is sadly a shadow of himself at such a young age is a big problem. Easier to blame the coach and save their own skins. |

He's an excellent D assistant coach like he was with Boston. He's not a top notch HC IMHO |

As much as i hate the black (ass?) hole, i gotta say he did all right with the cards he was dealt
The 13 turnovers for Harden tonight were epic! _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Firing Byron is a bad look for the org. They're big on loyalty and image. They won't fire him after one year, especially considering his history with the Lakers. The business move is to fire Scott and hire Thibs, but in this case, that might not be the "right" move. |
