They have the potential to be a top 3 seed if they can stay healthy. Re-sign Deng and they'll have some bench depth too. Embarrassingly, I'd actually root for them. Anything to make the Leastern Conference less of a joke and less of a cakewalk for Lebron and the Cavs, I'm all for.
They also need to get out of the Lebron funk. Last year they lost a lot of games that they had no business losing. A Wade & Bosh team should be top 5, when healthy, in the East. Add the other guys, and I would expect them to contend with the Cavs. _________________ "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships."

That was the one thing that blew my mind in this draft, Winslow still there at 10. I have to believe that the only reason he was still there were because of promises that were already made by Detroit etc.
Steal of the draft. Making sure they kept their pick paid off big time for Pat. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest
There was a draft winners and losers thread somewhere and while I said I don't like to give out awards for players who haven't shown anything against NBA competition yet, I do think Miami with Winslow and OKC with Payne did stellar for the position in the draft they were in.
Miami has a nice blend of young guys with major upside (Whiteside, Winslow) and vets who can still play at a high level (Bosh, Wade, Dragic). Interesting to see if Deng stays or not. They should make the playoffs next year for sure if they keep Dragic and Wade.
I was baffled when the Pistons and Hornets passed on Winslow. Hopefully, he makes a lot of other GMs (besides us) look foolish. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

I'm iffy on Payne (my first impressions of him are that he's a goofball like Nick Young), but Winslow was definitely a steal. I was very surprised so many teams let him drop.
Decent team but the Cavs own the East as long as Lebron is there. _________________ "It was tough," Kobe Bryant said. "But when it got really tough for me, I just checked myself in."

Wade is solid allright.
His knee is so solid I can't hardly be bent. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
