Harden isn't a free agent till 2018. If this guy knows the future he should play the lotto.

Hope they're ready to backup Clarkson and Russell.

I know! Great, just what we need, 2 more back court players. Meanwhile we have Madsen playing center for us.

Westbrook went to Leuzinger, Lawndale
Harden went to Artesia

So it wouldn't be shocking to me

Players and agents are just using the Lakers for leverage. Jimmy Butler did it and so did Wade. Harden isn't leaving the Rockets and if Durant stays so will Westbrook.

Looking a few years ahead, some guys I'm interested in getting:

2016: Durant, Conley, Horford, Butler (others I'm sure)
2017: Westbrook
2018: (IIRC) Paul George

Exactly. Players agents throw the Lakers name next to there player because they know it will create big buzz.

Just wait until we have 2 max spots next summer. EVERY player in the NBA will be linked.

We just have to wait until Russell and Randle turn into stars, it's the only way I think we can attract FAs.

Yes, but also when Kobe's contract is off the books too. Not b/c people don't want to play alongside him, but b/c it makes it very difficult to rebuild a roster from a cap standpoint.

Westbrook, Harden, KD reunion

as appealing as that sounds, by 2018 I'd expect we have a better backcourt duo in Russell & Clarkson. It will be interesting to see what Westbrook and Harden are like in a few years... will they continue to hone their craft? Or fizzle out ala Agent Zero.

Westbrook has had a lot of injuries and surgeries, wouldn't be surprised if he had a rapid decline.

Where is the lock thread on this dream joke!

This boards knowledge has fallen as bad as the Lakers roster!

this article sounds like unrealistic. but at least it shows how the Lakers are still very much a desirable destination for players... not the bull crap we've been hearing about the team no longer a premier basketball organization, especially after Howard left, and Melo didn't sign.

Gonna have to roll with what you got until somehow they get to 45+ wins to attract someone even remotely.

The Lakers have been used the last few offseasons.

Notice how its LMA meeting with 7 teams, the Lakers are never the favorites, but we always are mentioned.

We are putting ourselves in that position by stepping up to the plate and swinging for the homeruns though.
