Yeah, I think that I'm being optimistic with that one. I mean Afflalo is ok at 3 and D still and Davis is would make a good rim protection tandem with Upshaw. Sounds like Kobe is going to be the small forward anyway.. Idk though, we still got jc and Young there. .but I wouldn't be suprised if we go sg, since we had interest in shumpert .

'Try'. How convenient. They have placed all their efforts in the wrong basket.

The problem with rookies is that they usually break out in their second season or later which means we have to suck again next season which means no one will want to sign here yet again. That's also betting on the fact that our rookies will be really good which is no guarantee

Kyrie 18.5ppg 5.4apg
Parker 12.3ppg 5.5rpg
Wiggins 17ppg 4.6rpg
Wade 16ppg 4.5apg

there's hope

Blake Griffin missed his entire rookie campaign and came in to average 22/12 or something stupid like that (too lazy to look it up). Maybe the year of prepartion is going to have Randle break out in a remarkable fashion. Clarkson also is in year 2. There's 2 guys right there that have a good chance of a breakout year.

Then throw in thsi infusion of youth. (bleep) it! 50 wins!

I forgot about that

Not to be a downer - but Randle isn't as ready for the NBA as Blake and doesn't have the same athleticism. It'll take him longer IMO as he'll need to rely on his skills to be elite far more than Blake ever did as a rookie. Russell I think will also need more time than Irving, although I certainly could see him deliver 12/5 right away. Maybe even more. I do think both guys will start this coming year. Irving had ridiculous dribbling and ability to beat guys off the dribble, I'm not sure I've seen Russell do that against NBA level competition. Irving was a pretty no brainer #1 pick. You're talking two no brainer #1 picks in BG and KI. I'd hold Russ/Randle to a little less expectations that those guys as with BG/KI the franchise level talent was obvious and they were expected to be very good right away. I think with Russ and Randle we'll need to be a little more patient - unless they've been hiding things from scouts and what they showed in vid clips.

BTW, another rookie PG who was productive and very good right away was Lillard. I could see the breakout from Russ far sooner than Randle, though.

That seems way too low based on the contracts I've been seeing so far.

Yeah. If Omer Asik and Tyson Chandler got 12 and 13 million each, Robin's going to be near that range too.

Splitter at a bout 11 as well.

I think mo williams would be a valuable addition. I can see him and swaggyp killing it together off the bench. Honestly I want ed davis back but with upshaw and tarik I don't think u need him. Davis is pretty good but honestly is he so good that he can't be replaced with either upshaw and or tarik? If u resign davis you'll have a center depth chart of davis black upshaw and sacre. Seems like overkill. That's assuming upshaw shows off in summer league, but with his potential I don't see why he wouldn't. A 7fter with his skills are rare.

I would go for mo williams and corey brewer right now because we're thin at the wings and backup pg spot. Here's a name you might not have heard in awhile josh smith as backup pf. Now I know what u might think, but josh smith seemed to excel as a 6th man. Along with corey brewer they both really boosted hou bench in the playoffs. They're probably the biggest factors in hou beating clips.

Russell/williams/jabari
clarkson/swaggyp/jabari
kobe/brewer/anthony brown
randle/ josh smith/kelly/nance
upshaw/black/sacre

Pretty much everyone who has shown they can start is getting major money. I'd be surprised if Lopez got less than 10 M per. We're looking at least 40/4, IMO.

I want Robin Lopez and will pay him 4 year 60 mil.

He is only 27 !

Everyone here was all "D Jordan will grow with this team because he is only 26!".

Lopez is young too. And he is one of the best defensive bigs there is. And won't require the ball on offense.

Perfect fit imo

If Omer Asik gets 4 year 60m, then R Lopez deserves the same, because he is a better player

Josh Smith seems to be getting Zero FA attention. Feels like a logical Plan C for the Lakers. He's still a Name somewhat and we can get him at a discount (probably 1 year deal at ~10 million) and analytics be damned!
