Sorry. Just being real, give me a bottom dweller to help our conference. Sort of like when Duke plays the equivalent of Cal Tech in its first game. |
Opening day is a must hit. |
Why?
Gimme a team we can realistically beat. That'll be a hit. |
For a show like the NBA, opening day is a must hit. Do I need to explain further?
I bet Clips play Mavs. We get the Wolves. |
Who gives a (bleep) about being a show for the NBA? It's about winning. I'd rather the Lakers face a bad team than one of the top contenders like SA, Golden State, or Cleveland and likely get blown out. |

Last year's first game was a nightmare. No need to try to flex our muscles early. Give us a beatable opponent please. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

A middle tier team would be good; Utah or Phoenix maybe. |

I voted for Minnesota. I think they'd be a fun team to play that we'd actually have a chance of winning against. You could sell the first pick vs. second pick thing and the two up and coming young cores. |

For the love of God, whatever game we play, please don't let it be an exhibition on National Television against a contending team for fans to make fun of how (bleep) we are. |

Who cares? The NBA does.
We might get blown out by any team and vice versa. Who knew we could beat the Spurs early season last year?
Losing the first game doesn't lead to a losing season so man up and stop acting like fowl manure
Bring on the Clips. |

Right, too soon for our young team to face a contender on national TV. And going against a bottom dweller does little for our confidence but can can only hurt it with a loss. Go against a middle tier team: a good solid win and It's the easier loss to take than losing to the bottom dweller or getting crushed on opening night against a contender. |
