I'm in a similar boat. I met with the entire team and it all went well. We started talking about salary and we're not that far off. The woman doing the hiring has gone silent on me and now I'm nervous. I would like to follow up but I'm afraid I'll come across as desperate.

Follow up today.
Right now.

Tell them that you have been thinking about the opportunity, that you believe you are a perfect fit for the postion and the team, and that you would like their permission to start on Monday.

All good advice. I especially like the firebombing tactic. If you hear about bombs going off somewhere in the northeast, it is not terrorism, it is merely employment negotiations.

Not to mention great marketing. Think how many times that company will get mentioned in newspapers and on TV! Free advertising!

Paul Pierce Accidentally Proves LA Is Still A Lakers Town

Quote:
Paul Pierce was booed out of the stadium after throwing the first pitch at the Dodgers game. LA is all about the Lakers and Dodgers.

Late Sunday night bump. Almost to page 2. Who had the weekend shift?

If you apply for a job and go for the interview, what's the most amount of time you give that new job time to get back to you?

Back in March I applied to a job that was a long shot, but something I really wanted. They were hiring quickly and was able to score an interview. After the interview, which I thought went really well, they told me they'd for sure let me know either way within 24 hours. The person who interviewed me was always quick to respond to emails in the process leading up to it, so I was pretty bummed when I had heard nothing 48 hours later (despite a few follow ups on my end). They had told me about letting me know within 24 hours, so I assumed pretty confidently that someone else already got the job, but since I still had a very slight glimmer of hope I continued to follow up once a day. More than I would normally do, but i knew they were hiring quickly and wanted to stay in their minds. 2 days after that I heard back. I was thanked for my follow ups and offered the job.

They were just fed up with your e-mails and decided that it is simpler to hire you than to adjust the spam filter.

And once the job was offered you turned them down, right?

I've been making my own fresh jam from the berries from my own garden for about a month now.

Think I've had enough?

Think again. I'm gona go and make a big bowl of fresh raspberry jam right now, and then eat half of it.

And then I'll repeat it again tomorrow. And the day after...

Positive news: Just got back from Florida work event and received job offer for after I finish my program.

Negative news: Multiple showers required to get Florida off of me. 2 and counting so far.

I've taken 1591 showers and it still doesn't come off. You're SOL.

Could be worse.

You could still be in Florida.
