Chelsea fan here. I'd love it if they could pick up Stones but Zouma is nearly ready to own that CB position. I think they need a midfielder to play alongside Matic and Cesc and a reliable right winger. Willian has tons of activity but it doesn't often convert to goals. I'm hoping Oscar (if he survives this window) can blossom a bit after having the summer off. Mourinho likes "his guys" but they faded. Some depth all around would be good too as they lost some steam there at the end. Cuadrado and Falcao need to shine when given their few opportunities. |

Interesting. LVG is definitely putting his stamp on the team. |

Guess that talent infusion from Europe works...MLS is finally handedly winning an all star game vs an EPL team. Of course the players to score are Kaka and David Villa. |

In b4 someone mentions "pre-season" |
Yeah, its preseason for the EPL, but I remember a couple years ago the MLS all stars got blown out on their home against ManU... |

Some crazy transfer rumors week before the start of a new season. Who do y'all want to see move? Benzema to Arsenal? Stones to Chelsea? Kane to United? |
Benzema to Arsenal would make them legitimate title contenders. I feel all Arsenal are missing really is someone who will turn big chances in big games into goals, and he can bring that.
I also feel the lack of big game striker is hurting their chances of progressing in the champions league, he'd help with that too. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Piers Morgan thinks it's on.

It's going to be interesting to see how Man U jells this year. That's a lot of new pieces to integrate. For Man U's sake, I hope things work out better than it did with DiMaria and Falcao. As we all know, what looks good on paper can really suck on the pitch.
I have a funny feeling about Chelsea. I thought they overachieved last year. I won't be surprised if they struggle, at least compared to expectations.
I haven't followed Man City this summer. I know they made a few moves, but nothing that struck me as earthshaking. They sure looked beatable a lot last year.
You never know about a team like Arsenal. All signs are that they should be good, and that they can challenge for the title, but the track record in recent years hasn't been great. If Ozil has a good year, I think they could win it.
Liverpool looks like a team that could provide some soap opera this season. I like Rodgers, though. I won't be surprised if they challenge for a UCL slot. When Gerrard left, they added through subtraction. But is there a leadership gap now?
I never take Tottenham seriously. I get a kick out of the Arsenal "Forever in Our Shadow" t-shirts.
At the other end of the table, Bournemouth is the team to watch. They could be the next Charlton and stay up for a few years. |

I'm don't have as many doubts about how the new players will adjust as I did the previous year.
Morgan Schneiderlin is a vet of the premier league, he was Southampton's best player the past three seasons (ouch Lallana and Lambert; Liverpool ). Bastian Schweinsteiger - barring injury and father time (a la Giggs and Scholes) - need I say any more? Matteo Darmian - capped for the Azzurri; won the Pallone Azzurro awarded to the best player on the national team in 2014. Memphis - the best upcoming player on the Dutch national team. If the Pedro deal is completed soon, then that will sort out the front three (Memphis, Rooney, Pedro). All are solid need buys, not the Galactico signings of Falcao and Di Maria. Disappointed with no signings in the central defense (Blind as left-sided centerback ) but not a foot put wrong in this transfer window. _________________ Character
