Not comparable to Randle at all. More of a poor mans Jeff Green or Chris Copeland. Perhaps a Luke Walton type.

Not expecting a star player. Just a solid contributor at SF. Compared to some of the options most discussed (including Kobe at SF) I would not be opposed to taking a look at Kostas P.

He played in the Euro League. At 25 years he only played one year with Houston to mixed results. Fills a much needed role on the team and seems to have potential to grow. Included some of his draft info to illustrate the potential.

Im pretty meh on Kostas Papanikolaou. Not sure why anyone one wants the guy... because hes a sf?

He shot 35% and he's basic stats arent amazing. I havent gone indepth into his advance stats but it doesn't seem like its worth my time.

I like rookies who shoot better than 35% and arent coming off injury. Not to mention he was a late 2rd pick and he's 25.

Idk maybe this guys a diamond in the rough but i dont think this guy has a high ceiling. Seems we could use the extra spot on some else.

Maybe if it were toward the beginning of free agency, I'd definitely say wait it out, but right now there aren't that many other options in FA. You have Wright and Seraphin as the two best players left. I'd be willing to give Papanikolaou a look. He's experienced through playing in Europe.

There's a whole d league of players who are under 25 we can take a chance on but i would rather just keep the spot open just incase someone gets cut.

I agree he is what he is and the ceiling is limited for him. I am not sure anyone is advocating he will be a All-star or a future HoFer. It is about expectations IMO.

Just a interesting prospect that seems to have a solid all around game with hard work and some maturity. Just a good b-ball player. Not going to "wow" anyone. Just make good plays on an inexperienced team.

He is an option to discuss. Nothing more, nothing less. Every player available or in this salary range has flaws and is a risk. Kostas is an interesting player to fill a much needed role on the Laker roster. I am just as "meh" on most of the undersized SFs or offense only type options being discussed. A solution needs to be found because Kobe at this point in his career trying to play the majority of his mpg at SF will be a disaster IMO.

I would love for Nance or A. Brown to step up and earn the spot. But although I like them as players, I think they are not ready to contribute much this year.

Yes.....so sad!

I looked around the web and found that to be true at the moment.

He is on the Greece roster for the Eurobasket Tournament:

Greece 2015 Roster

There are two months left before his contract becomes guaranteed in early October, so Denver can have patience and see how he does this September.

Perhaps they decide to keep him if he does well.

Perhaps the scouts of another team will be impressed and they will suggest that their Front Office ask Denver about him.

If Denver is reasonable in their expectations in a trade, then that might be the better course of action than having to pursue him as a Free Agent after being waived by Denver.

we almost singed him toward the second half of last year, right? i remember that he posted a pic on his instagram wearing the purple and gold around that time.

i'd be more than happy with giving Earl Clark a camp invite, for sure.

I was just going off a snippet of an article in the hoopshype rumors. I was intrigued when I thought he was getting released. Another young guy to grow with the team.

That dude is chasing rings, not looking to be Kobe's practice dummy on a very inexperienced team. Sorry. I really do not think it'll happen.

Hibbert / Black / Upshaw
Randle / Bass / Nance Jr
Clark / Allen / Young
Kobe / Clarkson
