I think some of these comments are unwarranted. Barnes is a good guy and good player, and works pretty hard, and was a good Laker. I'm not understanding the hate.

Barnes worked hard to make a team, I know Matt because my daughter played b ball at Del Campo, same as Matt. He is actually good guy and a very good player. He was a point center, forward, point guard in hi school. I believe he was played at of position at UCLA. At 6' 7 he played center much of the time at UCLA, he should of come into the NBA as a big pg he is a team player.
Good luck Matt!

Bye matt. You will always be known as a postseason choker and fake tough guy. Lol

I always look at wannabe tough guys like him and Allen Iverson and wish I could trade places with them. They can come live in the hood like I do, where they can be around all their peers...sit around all day and do nothing but look stupid and act a fool. Meanwhile I'll be in a Hugo Boss suit, speaking proper english and respecting the game....oh yeah, and dating some of the most beautiful women the world has to offer.

Those dumbells have it made and they act like complete clowns!

Sorry... You lost me right there. Pound for pound, one of, if not THE toughest player to ever play the game.

Ok, that's cool is that's how you feel. To me he was a selfish ball-hog that jacked up alot of shots, ran down the shot-clock with his over-dribbling and only cared about stats. Combine that with the tacky attire, lack of professionalism and his inabilty to humble himself and you can have him. That's just not the type of player I'd want on my team. But hey, to each his own.

And Ty Lue was able to bug him as his bizarro twin. AI was also a wuss and ran to his tunnel crying after the final buzzer of that series. Fish for some reason ran him down and gave him a hug, probably for not bothering to run at him when he lined up for a 3. There was an instance where Fish hit one and Iverson stomped his foot, then again later, same thing, and he just shrugged his shoulders as if to say, "Oh, well", caught on a close-up pan. As far as physical toughness, tell me he was any tougher than Spud Webb for just falling all over the floor. Spud played the same little man's game and assumed the same risk and he actually did it with his feet touching wood, proving how exaggerated the contact was that Allen turned into foul shots. I've never seen a player other than him to jump up for a shot and turn his head to yell "Ayy!" at a ref that he had passed up and was behind him. He did that against the Lakers in 2007/08. Not as bad as CP's Louganis dives, but memorable.

Blaming a role/support player for a teams playoff performance is wrong.

Clippers traded one head case for another. How is Stephenson better than Barnes? He is just younger
