You have to realize that tanking only makes sense in certain situations. In others, it doesn't. The reason it made sense last year, is because we had a team full of players that weren't part of the long term plan AND we had a viable, realistic shot at getting in to the top 5. If we had made the 8th seed last year and got bounced, it would have been pointless because it wasn't going to be a building block year.
This season, it is different. We have a number of players that we fully intend on being part of a core going forward, and an 8th seed finish would be a great accomplishment to build on, with that same core, in the following seasons. |

| Being healthy is the most he could contribute. However, I think it's going to be note dependent on the young players who are the bigger question marks. |

Tanking is a loser's mentality
One can see the "rewards" just by noting the "success" of the Mavs (even with a passionate owner like Cuban), the 76ers (who are still "tanking") and the Celtics (even with a zillion draft choices are still having major problems)
Winners attract winners
Tanking tells everyone, losing is acceptable |
